GLAMOUR Tries: We created an Ariana Grande-worthy hair braid using LullaBellz and we're obsessed
There's no better pastime than testing out the coolest new skincare/makeup/hair trends and snazzy innovations in beauty tech from the comfort of your own home. That said, there's nothing more frustrating than spending upwards of £100 on a new at-home facial system or snazzy pair of hair straighteners, only to find out they don't *actually* work.
Enter GLAMOUR Tries: the weekly Instagram series which sees GLAMOUR editors do all of the time-consuming (and expensive) work for you.
We've never contoured our chins like this before.

Yep, we've been busy trying out all of the wacky and wonderful beauty crazes to take the internet (read: TikTok) by storm – from FaceGym's Faceshot Electrical Microneedling Device (the skin tool of dreams) to Isle Of Paradise's Pro-Glow Spray Tan Mister and Larry King Hair Care's Flyaway With Me Kit. These are the products every influencer/Gen-Z beauty slueth/beauty editor is talking about on the internet – but that you want to be sure about before parting with your money.
Thanks to GLAMOUR Tries, you won't need to waste your hard-earned pennies on testing these innovations yourself. We're getting in their first, giving you the lowdown and making sure you invest in products that genuinely work. Like what you see? You can shop all of the products seen on GLAMOUR tries in previous weeks down below. Race ya?
So easy to achieve.

On GLAMOUR Tries this week, Associate Social Media Manager Luca Wetherby-Matthews is putting her best Ariana Grande hat on and is creating a hair braid of dreams using LullaBellz Grande 26" braid plus the Slick & Fix styling glue and Slick Back Down baby hair styler.
Grande 26" Braid, £28, LullaBellz
“First step: I'm going to slick all my hair back into a ponytail using the styling glue, baby hair styler and a hair brush to do that, and I'm then going to plait in the extensions. I'm a bit concerned because I have curly hair and the extensions are straight, but maybe some magic will happen.” Luca says.
She pulls her hair back into a ponytail and then applies Slick & Fix on top to smooth down any lumps and bumps that are left, creating a super seamless effect. She then goes over that with Slick Back Down to ensure there are no flyaways, and uses it to shape her edges.
“I'm happy with this bit for now,” Luca says. “I'm going to go in with the hair braid which is separated into three different sections already - which is super helpful - and then you've got this shorter bit to wrap around your ponytail. It also comes with some bobby pins and elastics to help you secure everything.”
Luca attaches the extension braid to her ponytail and begins plaiting, incorporating her natural hair with the synthetic piece.
“This is the final look. I'm actually really impressed. I knew that it was going to be a bit messy because my hair's curly, so obviously if I straightened it it would be a much sleeker look, but, for a first attempt…” she says, showing it from all angles. “The colour match is perfect - it blends in completely with my natural hair. I don't know how they do it, absolute wizards.”
