Leather trench coats come Hailey Bieber and Rhianna-approved
You may have seen the leather trench cropping up on all your favourite celebs lately from Hailey Bieber to Rihanna. While it may very much still be UGGs and puffer coat weather here in the UK, the LA set are paving the way for how spring will look (whenever it comes) and it appears to involve a lush, Matrix spin on your favourite spring coat.
Trench coats have always been a staple in every woman's wardrobes, but I'm the first to admit that they're not necessarily the warmest. They are great for those drizzly 15-degree days but let's be honest, we won't be seeing double-digit temps for a little while longer.

Which is why we, and all our fave celebrities, have been loving the resurgence of the leather trench. Slick, sleek and sexy, they are more formal than their gabardine cousins and happen to be warmer too, so it's not wonder the A-listers have been spotted out and about in them, especially popping out of events where they need a throw-on coat that pulls a look together.
Kendall Jenner recently wore hers with a mini dress and knee-high croc leather boots, while her pal Hailey gave hers a sexy spin with some racy lacy tights underneath. Suki Waterhouse was out and about during New York Fashion Week wearing a stunning laser-cut leather trench, which she paired with a Dior scarf and Kurt Geiger's Orange Islington trainers.
The street style girlies have been loving the leather trench coats too, styling them with socks and pumps (a controversial combo but chic nonetheless), or with a pop of colour with their tights.
Speaking of colour, a black leather trench is always a cool choice, but there are plenty of arguments to be made for a coloured one too. A mocha mousse one, perhaps? Or even cherry red? In a statement hue, a bright leather trench can be its own fashion moment.
