Lea's Best Dresses

Glee star Lea Michele has worn some to-die-for dresses during her short time in the spotlight. Here's our top 25 countdown!

The Dress: Electric blue Peter Som
Why We Loved It: It’s rare that we see Lea in paintbox brights, and this beautiful maxi – the perfect balance of grown-up glamour and laidback cool – makes us wish that weren’t the case. Plus, our girl has accessorised it flawlessly with Casadei heels and Mannin jewellery.

The Dress: A 20s-inspired Marchesa cocktail dress with violet lips and crystal-embellished sandals
Why We Loved It: Allow us to share a secret: we’re a little bit in awe of girls who can pull off pristine, snow white shades without fear of spillage. Add into the mix tassels that we’d just be bound to get caught in a car door, and you can see why we have a lot of respect for Lea on this one.

The Dress: A peek-a-boo Giambattista Valli prom dress
Why We Loved It: This was our fave Glee girl’s take on the underwear-as-outerwear trend. The exposed lacy bra gave her a naughty-but-nice vibe that we totally rated.

The Dress: A palm print Naeem Khan minidress
Why We Loved It: Back in August 2010, this was one of the first times we’d seen a sexier, bolder Lea. When we spotted her in this tropical print number we had only one word to say: hot.

The Dress: One of Hervé Léger’s world famous bodycon numbers
Why We Loved It: We’ve seen hundreds of Hervé Léger dresses on hundreds of LA starlets, but never one like this! The geometric, spider web-style print and futuristic shape meant Lea wore her bodycon with an added dose of cool.

The Dress: This angelic piece from The Row, designed by famous siblings Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen
Why We Loved It: A gorgeous tan always works with crisp whites, so Lea was destined to score a home run with this one. Plus, her at-the-ankle hemline was totally ahead of the trend back in December 2010.

The Dress: A digital print maxi dress from Italian label Etro
Why We Loved It: She might be dinky (dainty Lea measures in at five feet two inches), but the wrap-over, floor-sweeping cut gave her a streamlined, statuesque figure as she stood on the red carpet at 2010's Glee Spring Premiere.

The Dress: The Marlene ruffle dress from Erdem’s much-loved spring 2011 collection
Why We Loved It: It’s. Just. So. Pretty! Lea’s bare legs and a side-swept mane are all the accompaniments this little number needed.
Rex Features#17
The Dress: A thigh-skimming, asymmetric lace dress
Why We Loved It: Because we felt like we might (just) be able to recreate the look at home!

The Dress: A triple-tiered Giorgio Armani ivory dress
Why We Loved It: Indulging in what looks like might be ‘her thing’ – more white dresses – proved to be the right move, as Lea's tanned tone and deep brunette locks perfectly matched this structured number.

The Dress: A micro-mini lace peekaboo number from ASOS
Why We Loved It: Just when we had Lea pegged as a one-trick designer pony, she threw us a curveball in the shape of this high street trophy piece. We love it when a star keeps us guessing!

The Dress: A waterfall-shaped leg-flasher by Giorgio Armani
Why We Loved It: There’s a lot to be said for outfit symmetry. The plunging neck and soaring skirt split could’ve been overkill but framed in those soft ruffles, plus beautiful silver accessories (Fendi clutch, Jenni Kayne snakeskin sandals), the whole look is goddess-worthy.

The Dress: An Isaac Mizrahi number for one of her red carpet debuts
Why We Loved It: Hollywood newbies often hit the red carpet in all manner of bad choices, but Lea was impressing us from the get-go with this pretty and understated dress.
PA Photos#12
The Dress: Celebrity favourite Reem Acra, with Casadei heels
Why We Loved It: This gold-printed dress is super-pretty and conservative, without being mumsy or drab. Outfit perfection!

The Dress: One of what was to be many Oscar de la Renta dresses for the GLAMOUR girl
Why We Loved It: The little cleavage cut-out adds some real va-va-voom to this chic column dress.
Rex Features#10
The Dress: A cream cocktail dress with cut out detail by AMEN
Why We Loved It: We suspect that a boy might answer this differently, but for us, this dress is all about confidence – and Lea is exuding it by the bucketload. What’s sexier than that?
PA Photos#9
The Dress: Another of Oscar de la Renta’s feminine creations
Why We Loved It: High drama, high impact and high fashion – Lea had wow-factor red carpet dressing nailed with her Spanish-style ruffles.
PA Photos#8
The Dress: An oh-so cute Romona Keveza LBD
Why We Loved It: A girl can never have too many little black dresses, but the ones we love the most are the ones that stand out. This ruffled number with an ultra-high hem is a flawless example.

The Dress: Floor-length Giambattista Valli for the 2010 FOX Summer Tour
Why We Loved It: Maxi dresses are a fashion-forward gal’s wardrobe staple come summer, so it’s no wonder we fell in love with this printed beauty. The strapless bodice and wide waist belt made it extra flattering (as if Lea needed any help).
PA Photos#6
The Dress: A Jose Duran dress with Tiffany jewels
Why We Loved It: The way Lea channelled old school Hollywood glamour in this fishtail gown was spot-on. She even had the Marilyn kiss down right.
PA Photos#5
The Dress: Hot pink haute couture by (you guessed it) Oscar de la Renta
Why We Loved It: Pink can often be too cutesy for our tastes, but Lea’s attitude-packed stance and loose chignon turned this head-turning gown into a red carpet winner.
PA Photos#4
The Dress: A zingy yellow strapless dress from Zac Posen
Why We Loved It: Ever since we spied Michelle Williams in her mustard Vera Wang at the 2006 Oscars, we’ve had a giant soft spot for this hue. Lea does it proud, rocking her yellow with tomato red lipstick and a simple metallic clutch.

The Dress: Sparkling Oscar de la Renta, worn to the 2011 Screen Actors Guild Awards
Why We Loved It: Sexy, sophisticated, pretty, totally on-trend: what's not to like about this to-die-for red carpet outfit?

The Dress: An off-the shoulder Zac Posen gown
Why We Loved It: OK, we're biased, but when Lea rocked onto the red carpet at our GLAMOUR Women Of The Year Awards 2012 to collect her US TV Actress Award... Wow. That is such a great neckline on her. And with those earrings! We repeat: wow.

The Dress: Molten Marchesa
Why We Loved It: Hold the front page! Lea was is full-on vixen mode in this ultra-daring embellished Marchesa gown at the 2012 Golden Globes, playing it just right with swept-back hair and come-to-bed eyes. We love it because this is, quite simply, the dress of our dreams; the dress we wish we could wear. Every. Day.
