Aw, isn't she adorable?! A fresh-faced, 19-year-old Katie makes her debut on brooding, pseudo-intellectual teenage drama Dawson’s Creek. Looking now, who'd have thought this girl-next-door type would go on to marry into Hollywood royalty? We couldn’t see past Pacey at the time!

The classic Nineties formula of dark hair, deep red shimmering lipstick and a heavily powdered complexion – a little more ‘vixen’ than Katie was used to portraying as DC Tomboy Joey Potter. On the bigger screen, Katie was also exploring more roles to vary her CV – starring as a black-wearing, bad girl in Disturbing Behaviour, and drug-scoring, party girl in Go.
