Her style DO’s? “I can’t live without a great skinny jean…I also love beautiful silk blouses I can tuck into a high-waisted skirts…I need a great leather jacket – simple black or brown. I adore Alexander Wang T-shirts.”

“I just recently visited Memphis and I ate biscuits and jam and three-layer pies, and cheese sandwiches, Mexican food with burritos and cheese dip and wine every night! I totally do that. And by the way, when I’m working and I eat healthily all week, I then give myself one day – usually Sunday – when I eat what I want.” We SHOULD hate her, but we can’t. Natch.

And yet Jess humbly describes herself as a ‘tomboy’ and a fashion novice: “I’m not someone who has this amazing instinct about fashion. Sometimes I cannot be bothered…I just throw on whatever’s comfortable. Truthfully, there are three pairs of jeans I wear, and I cycle them.”

“I work out two or three times a week,” says Jess. “[I] do lots of circuit training and strength-training…I see my trainer one day, next day I take a yoga class, or take a hike, take a ballet class…Every day I do something.” She’s not kidding, in January 2010 Jessica climbed all 19340 feet of Mount Kilimanjaro to raise awareness for the global water crisis. Just thinking about it makes us want to take a big ol’ nap.

So beautiful in fact, that Jessica is even worried that she isn’t considered for serious roles because of her looks: “It really is a problem… I just want an opportunity. If you don't like the audition, don't hire me! But if you don't want to even see me, that's hurtful. And why? You know nothing about me!"

Even WE can’t bring ourselves to dislike her.

There’s no denying Jess is an A-list Hollywood starlet, yet the actress still shuns limo-service for the subway. “I was on there just the other day. I talked to a girl who liked my shoes," she says. " 'Oh, those are cute. Where'd you get those?' 'I got them at Barneys.' 'Are you from New York?' 'No, I'm from out of town.' 'Oh, cool. Nice to talk to you.' 'Nice to talk to you!' " See. She’s NICE too.
