As supers Christy Turlington and Linda Evangelista used to say: "We don't wake up for less than $10,000 a day". But how much does it cost to get YOU out of bed?
The Glamour.com team round up their daily beauty regimes and tot up their vanity balances… But who's the most high-maintenance?
Natasha, Editor - Total: £475.80
NOTHING will happen in the morning unless I ingest at least 2 cups of Bloom Breakfast tea.
The shower demands Original Source Tea Tree & Mint Shower Gel (£2.30) followed by Jo Malone Nectarine Body Cream (£48). I have a lifelong addiction to Darphin facial oils (£91) (Tangerine and 8 Flower Nectar if you’re asking) and my current squeeze Aesop’s Perfect Facial Hydrating Cream (£81) provides a stunningly rich moisturiser to base my face ready for some serious slap.
A light dusting with Clinique Almost Powder (£22) to even out redness and then Bobbi Brown Everything mascara (£18) follows my easy to follow regular date with Benefit Peek-A-Bright eyes (£24.50). Chanel’s Pink Explosion (£31) for a pop of cheeky blush and if it’s one of those days where eyes need to be super fabulous I’ll apply Chanel Le Crayon Kohl (£17) and Automatic Liquid Liner (£26). Nothing is complete when it comes to my visage without a slick of MAC’s Lady Danger (£14). If it’s the day after the night before I’ll need some Touche Éclat (£25)(OBVS). All of the above happens on the 38 bus (bar the shower bit and the tea). Oh I almost forgot, a delicate sprinkling of Jo Loves Pomello (£45) and I’m good to go.
Charlotte, Deputy Editor - Total: £113.29
Radio 4 and a warm shower are the keys ingredients to waking me up every day. I tend to mix and match my shampoos but my hair’s thick and tangly, so I always use a Pantene Conditioner (not pictured).
Then it’s on to my face: I use Clinique’s Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser (£16) to freshen it up followed by Simple’s Toner (£2.99). To protect my skin before I take on the dreaded Tube, I use Decleor Hydra Floral Anti-Pollution Moisturising Cream (£39.80).
I hate wearing lots of make-up so I tend to stick with just powder: Clarins Ever Matte Mineral Powder Compact (£25) covers anything I’d prefer to hide and I love the feeling it leaves on my face. I can’t live without blusher and Christian Dior’s Cherie Bow Diorblush (£29.50) is my current favourite. Finally, I coat my embarrassing-pale eyelashes in Benefit’s They’re Real Mascara (not pictured) and douse myself in Bvlgari perfume. That’s it, I’m ready to go!

First thing, I’ll give my skin a moisture-boost with Soap & Glory Make Yourself Youthful Super Serum (£16, not pictured), followed by Crème de la Mer’s Fluid Tint (£60) with SPF18. A sweep of MAC’s Bronzing Powder (£19) gives me a touch of colour, while Carmex (£2.69) moisturises my lips before applying Tom Ford Lip Colour in Flamingo (£36) (I tend to go for pinks over reds for daytime). A spritz of Chloe Love Eau de Parfum(£65) lasts all day.
I often leave my eyes naked, but if I’m making an effort, I’ll add a sweeping of Shiseido Automatic Liquid Eyeliner (not pictured) to my upper lids and whatever mascara is to hand to my lashes, always using MAC disposable wands.
Touch-ups on the go come courtesy of Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Cream Compact (£39) and Paul & Joe Blotting Papers (£10.50) – but my favourite part of the day is taking it all off again with Eve Lom’s Cleanser (£55) – a cult classic and my absolute must-have.
Dana, Fashion Editor - Total: £271.49
Beauty gurus shield your eyes now: my skincare regime leaves something to be desired. I rely on Elemis’ Marine Cream (£79) to keep my face in shape, and if I’m feeling particularly pale, I’ll add a bit of Clinique’s tinted moisturiser (£21.50) (not pictured) on top.
After that I go straight to my eyes. I blend together shimmery brown hues from my Christian Dior eyeshadow palette in Grege (£40), and add a sweep of Bobbi Brown Sparkle Eyeshadow under my brow line (£20). I line my eyes with one of three hues from Max Factor Liquid Effect Eyeliner (£6.99) (black, brown or mauve – depending on the day and my outfit). I’m all about lashes, so I alter between MAC Haute & Naughty’s (£18) two wand options to get full eyes.
I have a rosy complexion, so I usually skip blush, and head straight to my lips. I opt for a swipe of Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lipstick in Flirt (£24) for a coral colour perfect for daytime. I finish with a spritz of Gucci Guilty (£62).

My mantra is cleanse, tone and cream! At the moment I’m using Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser with Tamarind (£17.50) followed by Clarins Toning Lotion with Iris (£17.50) and Clarins Multi-Active Day Early Wrinkle Correction Cream (£39). In the evening I replace the cream with Clarins Multi-Active Night Youth Recovery Cream (£42). Oh and Clarins Eye Contour Balm (£28)! It sounds like a long procedure but I can do this literally in my sleep.
If I’m particular pale (most days) I’ll wear DIORSKIN NUDE Natural Glow Radiant Fluid Foundation (£31). Now to make-up…Even if I do nothing else I’ll put on some YSL Touche Éclat (£25) but normally it goes like this: Touche Éclat, MAC Liquidlast Liner (£14), Boots No7 Exceptional Definition Mascara black (£11), Benefit Benetint (£24.50) for some colour on the cheeks (and because it smells nice) and the cherry on the cake (so to speak) MAC lipstick in Lady Danger (£14).
