Launching two seasonal collections a year - which, despite being timed for spring/summer and autumn/winter, promote brilliantly seasonless, transitional staples that last well beyond 'a season' - is hugely significant.

Unlike many brands, which drop a new collection each of the four seasons, or even monthly, the biannual nature of House of Sunny's collections sets the design team at a slower pace, allowing time for research and sourcing of sustainable fabrics and manufacturing methods.

HOW IS HOUSE OF SUNNY SUSTAINABLE?

"We put product first — how and where we make it matter" acknowledged the team. "We pride ourselves on producing small sustainable runs of collections, acting against fast fashion."

"Our aim is to avoid wastage. We recycle or donate our textile scraps and samples whenever possible. Zero waste is our goal."

"We avoid print placements when possible. This is where the print is engineered to the garments shape, which creates a lot of fabric wastage. By using repeat prints each garment is unique as the placement is always different. We are very conscious of our fabric consumption and will avoid wastage wherever possible."

And it's not just a sustainable mission that the brand champions, but an ethical one, too.
