The new year easy hair series: recreate Margot Robbie's loose braid
The first few months of a new year is a time period great for reconsidering your hair and to try something new and fresh. The problem is, it's also a time when we can feel a little lazy and sluggish following the festive season. For this reason, we collaborated with celebrity stylist and UK TRESemmé hair ambassador Aaron Carlo, to come up with some fun, cool yet super easy-to-recreate looks.
As the hairstylist of choice to the Little Mix ladies, we were confident he could create some chic styles - and we weren't wrong. Aaron's first style is this Margot Robbie/Sophie Turner-inspired loose dishevelled braid.
To begin the look, Aaron preps the hair. To add in volume and texture, he applies the TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Touchable Bounce Mousse as well as the TRESemmé Heat Defence Styling Spray. He then lightly combs and blow-dries the hair to ensure the products have fully been absorbed.
Next, Aaron adds in some tousled waves by using a straightening iron back and forth. He uses his fingers to add a slightly dishevelled feel to the look.
Next, it's time to braid the locks. Starting from the middle of the hair down, he loosely plaits and applies some Dry Texturizing Spray by Oribe to ensure a pared-down feel. Massaging the crown, he finishes the look with Sachajuan Ocean Mist spray and TRESemmé Max The Volume Creation Hairspray.
