Hair-how to: a London-inspired textured knot
A messy knot is very London chic. What's more, it's definitely a style that looks way more complicated to create than it actually is. We enlisted the help of Aaron Carlo, celebrity stylist and UK TRESemmé hair ambassador, to show us how to rock this modern hair updo.

This style is all about nonchalance. Unlike other updos, in this case it's go messy and textured or go home.
To begin, Aaron preps the hair with a mousse (TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Touchable Bounce Mousse) and heat protector (TRESemmé Heat Defence Styling Spray).
He then applies a dry shampoo by Percy & Reed (No Fuss Fabulousness Dry Shampoo) to the crown of the hair to add in texture in preparation for styling. This step is crucial as super clean locks with zero product in them will not hold.
Next, it's time to style the look. Aaron divides the hair into two ponytails - one on the top and on directly below. He tightens them to add shape. Taking the first ponytail, Aaron simply knots the hair and pins in into shape. He then repeats this with the lower pony.
He leaves a few bits of hair loose to add a super casual feel to the style and then finishes with the TRESemmé Sea Salt Spray and Make Waves Hairspray.
