Gatsby Gets A Prada Makeover

Flapper fashion is back with a Prada twist, as the Italian label reimagines the Jazz Age in Baz Luhrmann's Great Gatsby

Carey Mulligan stars, alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire, in the new film adaptation of Fitzgerald's account of the roaring 20s.
And despite her tempting co-stars, we're more jealous of her designer wardrobe...

This striped sequin dress, with plastic trimmings, was inspired by Prada's spring/summer 2011 collection.

Oh-la-la. Blending an asymmetric hemline, courtesy of the 20s, with embroideries from the 50s, this jade green dress oozes on-screen glamour.

This Miu Miu design is classic flapper: silky tulle embroidered with shimmering Swarovski crystals all down the front. It's a head-turner for sure.

Remember this dress? Ms Mulligan, herself, wore a similar plastic-fishtail number, also by Prada, to the Met Gala just last year.
