Lady Gaga just wore one of the most subtle, chic looks at the 2019 Grammys

It's been a big night for red carpets. First we had the BAFTAs, which played host to the likes of Margot Robbie, Cate Blanchett and the Duchess of Cambridge, but then it fell to LA to put on a show.

Arriving at tonight's Grammy Awards at the Staples Center, some of the world's best-known and most-loved musical performers, singers and songwriters gathered to celebrate the great and good of the music industry.

And while Cardi B was busy emerging from an oyster shell in 1995 Mugler Couture, and Katy Perry arrived resembling a multi-layered, tissue-papered balloon, one of the evening's most unlikely outfits came in the form of an unusually low-key, pared-back look from fashion's most fearless star, Lady Gaga.

Opting for a chic, silver, sequined strapless dress, the musician - who was nominated for five (!) gongs this evening - surprised us all with her understated entrance.

Of course nothing Gaga wears is that low-key, and tonight's look reportedly consists of over 100 carats of diamonds. But it is, admittedly, less intense than the infamous meat dress. Or, in fact, anything she wore between 2005 and 2015. And we're into it.
