The Friends of Glossier sale is like catnip for beauty lovers – not only because the best Glossier products are genuinely transformative for your makeup/skincare routine, but because Glossier discounts are rare. Sure, the purse-friendly and photogenic AF Gen-Z beauty brand of our dreams runs a Glossier Black Friday sale each and every year. But besides that? Nothing. Zilch. Nada. So it's no surprise that when news of the Friends of Glossier sale dropped, the GLAMOUR office was up in arms. Don't walk towards your discounted Glossier Cloud Paint. Run.
The Friends of Glossier sale first ran last summer, inspired by a teeny little incident that happened in early 2021. ICYMI, a "FRIENDSOFGLOSSIER" discount code was accidentally leaked online, which sent the internet into a frenzy. Even though people only had access to the code for two hours, it caused ~chaos~ on the site (and encouraged the creation of some v. funny memes like this, this and this). Of course, the code had to be disabled pronto... but it got the team pondering on how they could create that kind of party again.
The answer? A LEGIT Friends of Glossier sale. This year, from today – Thursday 26 May – through Tuesday 31 May, all of Glossier’s skincare, makeup, body, and fragrance products are 20% off online and in-store. Why we love it: It's official: millennials are getting old. Not really, but Glossier has launched a retinol (their first ever): a nightly renewing complex formulated with 0.5% pro-retinol that renews and transforms skin in a way that all skin types can handle. Yep, this stuff is gentle on the skin but genuinely game-changing. Blended with 0.5% Retinyl Sunflowerate, Stevia Extract and Mondo Grass Root Extract, it provides all the benefits but less of the irritation that usually comes with a vitamin A. In a Clinical Corneometer Hydration Test (a way to measure the average hydration levels of the outer layers of skin), skin hydration increased 171% compared to baseline immediately after application, 157% after 12 hours, and 53% after 24 hours.

Why we love it: First up: the Glossier Beauty Bag. Obviously. After selling out in minutes following its first launch in March, it attracted a 10k person wait list (!) for the second restock. There's also a red removable interior pouch, and the exterior is easy to wipe clean. The dreamiest makeup bag we ever did see.
