Team GLAMOUR talks foundation

Finding the right foundation is one of life's biggest beauty battles. With so many to choose from it can be difficult to know where to start to get that picture perfect skin. Whether you want serious coverage, a radiant glow or an "I'm-not-wearing-any-makeup" look there's something for everyone.
To help find the best foundation for you we've quizzed Team GLAMOUR on their favourite foundations, how they use them and why. Which team member are you?

I try lots of foundations but my new obsession is Guerlain Parure Gold, for those days when I want more coverage but without the heaviness or chalkiness.

I love this skin tint as it's really hydrating but has more coverage than a tinted moisturiser.
Hourglass Illusion Hyaluronic Skin Tint, £45, <a href="http://www.liberty.co.uk/"target="_new">Liberty.co.uk<a>

I'm forever switching up my foundations but this is my trusty fave for serious coverage that leaves my skin glowing AND it lasts all day so no touch ups necessary.

My annoyingly combination skin means most foundations just slide off my skin in certain areas and then cling to others. Alex introduced me to this new foundation (out next month!) and I’m now completely obsessed. It’s a buildable coverage, whilst still sitting on my skin nicely. Best of all, it lasts ALL day. This is definitely now my holy grail!
Vichy Dermablend 3D, £21.50, <a href="http://www.boots.com/"target="_new">Boots.com<a>

Claudia Mahoney, Executive Fashion & Beauty Director
I don't wear makeup every day but whenever I do this is my go-to. Completely sucked in by the name, and the promise of giving this haggard old face a 'youth infusion', but genuinely think this works. It gives coverage without being heavy, stays on without caking, and you can still see my skin- It evens and gives a soft glow. I just pop a bit on with my finger tips and rub in. I know I should use a brush or sponge but I prefer the less airbrushed effect of my own fingers.
Estée Lauder Perfectionist Youth Infusing Foundation, £38, <a href="http://www.esteelauder.co.uk/"target="_new">EsteeLauder.co.uk<a>

I swear by pairing up Double Wear Light Estee lauder with Burberry Primer, I use them everyday – they are the perfect foundation duo. I prep my skin with a moisturising day cream ( my favourite is Estee Lauder Day Wear) and then layer up my primer and foundation. I love Double Wear as it’s the perfect consistency and doesn’t leave my skin looking cakey!
Estée Lauder Double Wear Light, £30, <a href="http://www.esteelauder.co.uk/"target="_new">EsteeLauder.co.uk<a>

I love a new and exciting foundation, and constantly get wooed by different brands promising me Insta-worthy skin, but no matter what I always come back to my trusty fave and that’s bareMinerals. I first discovered the original powder about 10 years ago, and it’s the ultimate foundation for people who want to look flawless, but luminous. It’s a tricky combo but they've mastered it.
bareMinerals Original SPF15 Foundation, £26, <a href="http://www.bareminerals.co.uk/"target="_new">BareMinerals.co.uk<a>

My ultimate fave is Make Up For Ever’s Ultra HD foundation. I've finally found my match- they have an amazing range of shades to choose from.
The finish is matte but also glowy (perfect for my oily-prone skin) and when I wear it I get compliments on my skin. I will forever re-buy this!
Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation, £29, <a href="http://www.debenhams.com/"target="_new">Debenhams.com<a>

I have super sensitive skin so I find the Dermalogica range works really well for me. I swear by their skincare and their tinted moisturiser doesn't disappoint either- I LOVE it!
Dermalogica Sheer Tint SPF20, £34.80, <a href="http://www.dermalogica.co.uk/uk/"target="_new">Dermalogica.co.uk<a>
Charlotte Lewis, Acting Shopping Editor
I love this stick because not only does it double up as a concealer It gives amazing coverage that lasts. I don't use much, I only apply to the areas that need it most and give my skin a rest on weekends, foundation-free!
Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick, £29.50, <a href="http://www.bobbibrown.co.uk/"target="_new">BobbiBrown.co.uk<a>

I’m a foundation fiend. I’ve been looking for my perfect one for about 25 years! I love Chanel Perfection Lumière Velvet, our Beauty Director, Alex gave me this last year and I love it. It’s much lighter than the foundations I used to wear, so I thought it wouldn’t be enough coverage, but it’s AMAZING. It feels as if it blends to nothing, but still makes my skin look flawless - glowy but matte. And the chic little bottle lasts for ages too.
Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet Foundation, £33, <a href="http://www.selfridges.com/GB/en/"target="_new">Selfridges.com<a>

I apply a few sweeps of Pixi Colour Correcting Powder Foundation with a foundation brush every day. I love this foundation as it feels light on my skin and covers any redness really well. I can also layer it up for evening without it looking ‘cakey’ or feeling sticky, which is a huge win for me!
Pixi Colour Correcting Powder Foundation
£18, <a href="http://www.pixibeauty.co.uk/"target="_new">PixiBeauty.co.uk<a>

On our Beauty Director, Alessandra’s advice, I’m giving Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation a go, as it gives me a glow but still with some coverage.

Nars Sheer Glow foundation in Mont Blanc - one of the lightest ones and easiest to apply i’ve ever used and it goes pale enough for my skin tone. Also get a lovely sheen to my skin.
