What you wore: A Justin Alexander lace dress and Jannie Baltzer headpiece, which I swapped for a Ghost dress and fancy dress hats for the dance floor.
My mum walked me down the aisle and I love this picture of us just before walking into the church.
Michael Newington GrayWe got married in the grounds of Mapledurham House, where Adam's mum has been the housekeeper for 15 years.
Describe your day in one sentence: An English-garden-party-meets festival perfect day in a sunny field with the man I love and all our friends and family, which was every bit as fun as I hoped it would be.
Michael Newington GrayFellow Conde Nast-er Michael Newington Gray did my pictures, and despite torrential rain in the morning and the threat of flooding, the sun came out while we were in the church and held throughout the day.
My florist managed to find the last peonies of the year as they're my absolute favourites.
Top tip for future brides: Keep calm, do exactly what makes you and your other half happy and say yes to any help offered. I managed to pull together a mostly-DIY wedding in less than six months, thanks to a whole lot of help from my brilliant family and friends. Oh, and MUSIC. Pick your own. Every song.
This snap was taken by my best pal Nina during the first dance. I didn't notice a single camera all day but was so grateful for all the photos and videos friends shared with me afterward.

When you got married and to whom: This was actually my Civil Partnership, on July 12 2013, to Nancy Crane; we have since converted our partnership to a marriage.
What you wore: I wore a See by Chloe dress and Nancy's was Dior.

Top tip for future brides: Sounds obvious, but it's your day so make sure it's what you both want.

Top tip for future brides: If you want absolutely everyone to dance, get a ceilidh (although in this picture I'm dancing to S Club 7).

When you got married and to whom: September 21st 2007 to Ian McLeish
What you wore: A late 1950s vintage dress that I found on an American website and ordered on a whim, mainly because I looked ridiculous in all the traditional wedding dresses I tried on. Luckily it only needed a teensy bit of alteration, which my fashion friend Damian did for me as a very generous favour. We did buy him dinner after the wedding to say thanks, though.
Describe your day in one sentence: All the people we love in one room, dancing, laughing and celebrating together, drunkenly.
Top tip for future brides: Don’t get bogged down in what other people think – everyone’s got an opinion, but yours and your intended’s are the only ones that actually matter. Also, it really is all about the people – all sorts of things went wrong at our wedding (not least me forgetting to order Champagne for the toasts, even though that was pretty much the only job I had to do) but the details will never matter as much as bounding around a dancefloor to Beyoncé with your new husband, your best friends and your parents.

Becky RyanWhen you got married and to whom: 3 April 2015, to Ian Pope, in the Peak District, Derbyshire
What you wore: Monsoon Bridal. I saw a dress online and did click and collect on a whim just to see how it looked in real life. I tried it on in the shop one lunchtime and immediately liked how swishy and boho it was, so ended up getting married in the first dress I’d seen. My bridesmaids, Claire and Alex, wore Biba and Phase Eight, so I didn’t have to go into one bridal shop - which suited me just fine!
Becky RyanDescribe your day in one sentence: A Britpop-soundtracked day where I got to marry my favourite person, surrounded by all the other people I love. Every time I turned around I’d think ‘Oh brilliant, you’re here! And so are you!’ One of the highlights was seeing everyone, from school friends to uni friends to work friends, shrieking along together to Common People (the last song of the night) and pulling their best Jarvis Cocker moves. There is a video of this somewhere. No one comes out of it well.
Becky RyanTop tip for future brides: It’s OK if you’re not the type of person to get totally consumed by wedding plans! I loved our wedding, but the only real theme was ‘stuff we like’ - the invitations looked like a vintage gig poster, the tables were named after Dr Who episodes, my bridesmaids wore different colours and dresses, and the flowers were multicoloured spring blooms – I don’t think anything really matched. We also got married five months after getting engaged, which again, was perfect for us. We didn’t want to spend a year ‘planning’, so just got the show on the road! Oh, and it could well rain. There was glorious sunshine in the Peak District both the day before and the day after our wedding, but on the day, it was mist and drizzle, which lent a Bronte-esque air to proceedings. We didn’t care. Don’t worry about your dress (when will you wear it again anyway?) and do your outside photos regardless of the weather!
