Does the fashion world's most popular product of 2018 prove how #basic we all truly are?
With so many shows, so many seasons, so many brands... it can be hard for those whose don't spend all day every day analysing trends to know which designer products are really worth the investment.
Analysing data regarding the shopping behaviour of more than 5 million shoppers every month, global fashion search platform, Lyst, have revealed the 10 most popular high-end pieces of Q2 this year.

The stand-out winner?
Perhaps not surprising thanks to its dominance in most wardrobes - but unexpected in light of the constant innovation within the industry - the 'hottest product' of this year is the interlocking GG belt by Gucci.
Every sartorially savvy celebrity, from Dakota Johnson to Alexa Chung, owns the accessory and it's the belt that's dominated our Instagram feeds this year.
In fact, we don't think we've seen Rosie Huntington-Whiteley without hers on this season.
Does this prove the seemingly ever-obvious lack of public interest in fleeting trends and value of more long-term, cult products?
