From perfect jeans to winter wedding wear, here are the top three fashion conundrums we're most regularly asked about - and the tips and tricks we think help answer them!
PA PhotosHELP! How do I find the perfect pair of jeans?
Well, we’d tell you if we found them! The truth is, jeans are one of the most personal buys of all – and we still haven’t given up the search for our all-time favourite pair of true blues, so don’t worry you’re not alone. However, we can give you some advice: brands like Paige Denim, J Brand, Current/Elliot, Acne and 7 For All Mankind haven’t become celebrity favourites for nothing – along with ultra-flattering cuts, jeans from these labels will wear well and won’t lose their shape or go baggy at the knees like cheaper versions. But even though we’d class them in the ‘investment buys’ category, with each pair ringing in at around the £200 mark, they don’t come cheap.
The alternative? GLAMOUR.COM rates Uniqlo and Topshop as the best places to buy jeans on the high street. Both places stock masses of trend-led styles: Topshop’s skinnies have elastic in to give them a Kate Moss-esque spray-on feel alongside distressed boyfriend jeans and smart straight legs, while Uniqlo’s versions come in cute candy colours. Plus, they’re reasonably priced enough that you can afford a few pairs.

Rex FeaturesHELP! What should I wear to work?
Specifically, we get asked a lot what to wear to the first day of work. This situation is trickier because you’ve got no point of reference i.e. you can’t already see what everyone else is wearing and judge the dress code accordingly. If you’ve bagged yourself a creative job (we’re talking graphic design or PR), working wardrobes are usually pretty relaxed, but if you work in a more corporate, business-minded field, here are the rules:
DON’Ts: sweat-pants (obviously), UGGs, anything that reveals too much cleavage/thigh/back, anything ripped, dirty, creased or with holes in, anything with slogans or potentially offensive pictures printed on, shorts, flip flops and hats, heels that are too high, lots of visible body piercings or tattoos, sundresses, exposed bra straps, and heavy, distracting make-up.
DO: Look to celebs like Kate Hudson, French actress Clemence Poesy and Olivia Palermo for inspiration – they’ve all got different styles appropriate for the office.DO: Stick to an easy-to-work colour palette of black, greys, navy, cream and beige (it makes choosing an outfit at 7.30 am so much easier, we promise).
DO: Try a silky, ruffled or printed blouse tucked into a fitted knee-length skirt with thick opaque tights and classic pumps, or a pair of peg-leg trousers with a boat-necked jersey t-shirt and wear-with-anything blazer.

paHELP! What should I wear to a wedding?
Some thoughtful couples send out a dress code on their invite (phew, problem solved), but if you’ve not been given a clue, you can’t go wrong with a gorgeous dress – find the right one and you can dress it up or down for day or evening dos, and wear it alone or layered in summer or winter. Don’t know how to choose? Follow our simple rules:
DON’T wear white – it’s the bride’s colour, duh.
DO invest in something event-appropriate to go with it – capes and shawls for summer, boleros and cropped tuxedo jackets for winter.
DON’T dress like it’s a Saturday night. That means avoiding baring too much skin or anything too flashy, glitzy or scruffy. Unless it’s a themed wedding of course...
DO make your dress look different every time you wear it by stocking up on purse-friendly accessories. Fascinators are traditional wedding fare, but fashion-forward ladies should try lace gloves, glam brooches, faux fur stoles and glittering cocktail rings, too.
DON’T carry anything other than a clutch bag. It’ll just look weird in the wedding photos, trust us.
