Elle Fanning has gone from blonde to brunette & you WILL do a double take with this transformation

We're a sucker for a celebrity hair transformation, but this one really had our jaws dropping.

Elle Fanning has majorly changed up her look by dying her hair a glossy brunette hue. Makeup artist Erin Ayanian Monroe, who does Elle and sister Dakota's makeup, unveiled the look on her Instagram page with the following caption:
"It was such fun doing a makeup to harmonize with her darker hair color."

We've little detail as to why and when Elle decided to ditch the blonde, but we think it looks absolutely MAJOR. The darker hue brings out Elle's eyes and adds a more sultry feel to her look. It is incredibly different though, and we genuinely did have to have a double take when we first saw the snap.
This isn't the first time Elle has experimented with different hair colours. She has tried brown hair and and rocked a rose gold dye before too.

Getty ImagesGoing darker for spring is not very usual - but Emrata has ditched the basic balayage to rock her natural deep shade. The hue paired with this sultry makeup does make it for a super sexy beauty look.
