Doutzen Kroes
The Dutch Frisian model and actress began her modelling career in 2003 in the Netherlands but quickly got sent to New York where she was cast, among other names, by lingerie giant Victoria’s Secret. Kroes was a Victoria Secret Angel from 2008 to 2014, appearing in eight of their famous fashion shows. She is also a brand ambassador for Miu Miu and L’Oreal.
Jameela Jamil
The television presenter, radio DJ and model has appeared on various Channel 4 programmes during her career, including being a presenter of T4 from 2009 until 2012 when T4 ended. This year, at the age of 30 the British TV personality is set to make her acting debut in American comedy series Good Place, a role she has described as a “dream come true”
Anna Kendrick
From being crowned the second youngest ever actress to be nominated for a Tony Award following her first prominent acting role in 1998 Broadway musical High Society, to an internet breaking hit maker with the song ‘Cups’/When I’m Gone from her role as Beca Mitchell in Pitch Perfect, Kendrick has had a pretty accomplished career .
Irina Shayk
This Russian model is best known for her career as one of the gorgeous Sports Illustrated girls, featuring in issues from 2007 to 2015 and landing the cover for their 2011 issue. The stunning swimsuit model embraced turning 30 early this year taking to Instagram to post an animated picture of herself wearing a crown, including in the caption “I guess the best age just reached me” followed by another snap of her impeccable body, reminding us all that she has never looked better!
Amber Heard
The American actress made her film debut in 2004 in the sports drama Friday Night Lights and has since starred in a string of box office hits from her 2008 breakthrough roles in Never Back Down and Pineapple Express landing her a Young Hollywood Award, to featuring in The Joneses, Magic Mike XXL and the Oscar nominated The Danish Girl. Following her 30th birthday this year, the actress said “I will be very, very, very happy to be in my 30s. I feel younger now than I did five years ago.”
Gemma Arterton
The St. Trinian’s star made a biggest breakthrough as an actress after featuring in the 2008 James Bond movie Quantum of Solace. Since then, the British actress has starred in fantasy films such as Clash of the Titans, Prince of Persia: The Sand of the Time and Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters. As she turned 30 in February this year, the actress made no secret of the fact that she loves her new age. “I've been waiting to be 30 since I was about 12! I always felt like I was too old for my body and 30 feels right. I'm excited to see what happens.'' she said.
Solange Knowles
The singer/songwriter and little sister to Beyoncé celebrated her 30th birthday last month with an inspirational message on Instagram marking all the highlights in her life, from the birth of her son to finishing her fourth album. She ended it on a thankful note saying “So much gratitude for life. Ps: About to take a note from Paris Hilton and have 4 parties” before sharing gorgeous snaps of herself with family and friends in New Mexico.
Jenna Coleman
The British actress is most known for her role as Clara Oswald in Doctor Who and playing Jasmine Thomas in British soap opera Emmerdale. She turned 30 on 27 April and after leaving Doctor Who last year, Coleman will play Queen Victoria in a new ITV drama Victoria airing later this year.
Leighton Meester
Leighton Meester, or Blair Waldorf as most of us know and love her as, is another gorgeous star who turned 30 earlier this year. Other than being the queen of the Upper East Side, Meester’s career has taken her to everything from being the face of huge brands such as Jimmy Choo and Vera Wang to releasing her own music and making her Broadway debut in Of Mice and Men in 2014. The American actress also welcomed her first child with husband, Andy Brody, last year.
Amber Riley
This American actress is best known for her role as Mercedes Jones in Glee. The star celebrated her milestone birthday with a huge party at LA’s W Hollywood Hotel in February with friends and family including the cast of Glee and a performance by R&B singer Faith Evans.
Olivia Palermo
Palermo stepped into the limelight after starring on MTV reality TV show The City, alongside Whitney Port in 2008. Since then, the American socialite has become one of the biggest fashion icons around. She too, turned 30 in February and continues to make headlines for her impeccable street style.
Charlotte Church
The Welsh singer/TV presenter welcomed her 30th birthday early this year as you should… with a huge party! Church rose to fame during her childhood as a classical singer before entering the world of pop music in 2005, selling more than £10 million records worldwide by 2007. The star also hosted her own Channel 4 talk show called The Charlotte Church Show.
Megan Fox
The actress/model began her career in 2001 appearing in a number of TV series’ before making her film debut in 2004 when she starred in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. However, Fox is best known for her role as Mikaela Banes in blockbuster action film Transformers. She celebrated her 30th birthday in May.
Kaley Cuoco
The Big Bang Theory star described her 30th birthday as “the best birthday I’ve ever had” late last year as she took to Instagram to thank her followers for the birthday messages, using #30isgonnarock in her caption. Before taking on the role of Penny, Cuoco played Bridget Hennessy in 8 Simple Rules from 2002-2005 as well as staring in the final season of Charmed.
Amanda Seyfried
The American actress made her film debut in 2004 when she starred in the classic Mean Girls alongside Lindsey Lohan and Rachel McAdams. In 2008, she appeared in the musical Mamma Mia which led to the actress featuring in a string of box office hits such as Dear John, Letters To Juliet and the film version of world famous musical Les Miserables. Seyfried celebrated her 30th birthday in December with her mum, sister and dog.
Abbey Clancy
The lingerie model and TV presenter wooed the nation when she won Strictly Come Dancing in 2013. In January, the star celebrated her 30th birthday with a central London based, 1920s themed party showing everyone that 30 never looked so good in a sheer, sparkly Great Gatsby style dress.
Dianna Agron
The Glee star spoke out about her excitement for her 30th birthday last summer before actually turning 30 on 30 April this year. In an interview with PopSugar the American actress said “I feel most beautiful these days, period. The older I get, the more sexy I feel, and the more I know myself…Next year I’ll be 30, and I can’t wait. I just feel like I know myself more than I’ve ever known myself and that is expediently better year by year.”
Brittany Snow
Snow is an American actress/singer most known for her role as Chloe Beale in Pitch Perfect and Kate Spencer in the classic chick flick John Tucker Must Die. The star celebrated her milestone birthday in Los Angeles on 9 March.
Mischa Barton
Barton is best known for her role as Marissa Cooper in the hit fox series The O.C between the years 2003-2006. The British-American actress is also known for her style and had featured in a number of advertising campaigns for brands such as Calvin Klein and Chanel. She turned 30th on 24 January.
Emily VanCamp
Emily VanCamp or Emily Throne as she’s known in ABC series Revenge turned 30 on 12 May. The Canadian actress made her acting debut at the age of 15 and is still going strong 15 years later as she just appeared in Captain America: Civil War earlier this year continuing her character as Sharon Carter/ Agent 11 in the sequel.
Lauren Conrad
The reality TV star turned fashion designer and author, won our hearts when we followed her life on MTV’s The Hills in 2006, a spin-off from Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County which she also starred in at the age of 18. Conrad celebrated turning the big 3-0 earlier this year on 1 February, with a Mexican getaway as she was joined by a group of friends in Cabo San Lucas.
Ciara
The American singer/songwriter’s career kicked off in 2004 when she released her first debut album ‘Goodies’ which was certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. The star celebrated her 30th birthday in October last year with a spectacular superhero themed party.
Raven Symone
The American actress turned talk show host made her acting debut at the age of just three years old when she played Olivia on The Cosby Show in 1989. She then went onto having her own hit Disney Channel series That’s So Raven from 2003 to 2007 as well as starring in Disney’s The Cheetah Girls movies. The star, who is now a host on ABC daytime TV talk show, The View, celebrated her 30th birthday on 10 December last year with a birthday party thrown for her live on TV by the show.
Jessica Hart
Hart is an Australian model, best known for appearing in Sports Illustrated in 2009. She also walked in the 2014 Victoria’s Secret fashion show and starred in the first season of MTV reality TV show The City. On 26 March, the model rang in her 30th birthday with a week-long celebration including a pyjama party and trip to the Bahamas.
Lena Dunham
Dunham is an American actress, writer, producer and director. She’s best known for being the creator, writer and star of HBO series Girls for which she has won two Golden Globe awards. She celebrated her 30th birthday on 16 May, just after leaving the show. “I feel ready to turn my heart and soul and insides over to something else. It felt right to be turning 30 and moving into this decade with a clean slate,” she said in an interview.
Jessica Ennis-Hill
The British athlete is currently an Olympic champion and British national record holder for the heptathlon. Prior to her 30th birthday in January, Ennis joked about her milestone birthday saying in an interview: “I’ll probably be crying,” before adding “I hope it's going to be my best year yet” as she hopes to win gold in the 2016 Rio Olympics this summer.
Mary-Kate Olsen
Mary-Kate Olsen went from being one half of the most famous twin child actresses in the world to a luxury fashion designer all before turning 30 on 13 June this year. She made her acting debut at the age of just 9 months old, sharing the role of Michelle Turner in Full House with her twin sister Ashley. The pair went on to release a string of TV sitcoms and movies together before entering into the fashion world as designers, launching their own brand The Rox as well as others.
Ashley Olsen
Like her twin sister, Ashley Olsen is a successful actress and designer having also made her acting debut at the age of just 9 months when she and Mary-Kate shared the role of Michelle Turner in Full House. After a successful acting career, the sisters launched their own luxury fashin brand The Rox alongside more affordable lines Olsenboye and StyleMint.
Lady Gaga
Born with the name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, Gaga rose to fame in 2008 with the release of her debut album The Fame. During her career, the American singer/songwriter has won three Brit awards and six Grammys so far. She celebrated her 30th birthday on 28th March with a star studded birthday party in West Hollywood, inviting fellow A-list celebrities such as Taylor Swift, John Legend and Lana Del Ray.
Chrissy Teigen
The American model made her debut in the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2010 and appeared on the cover alongside Nina Abdal and Lily Aldridge in 2014. She currently co-hosts US TV show Lip Sync Battle on Spike TV and has joined the lifestyle panel talk show FABlife. Teigen celebrated her 30th birthday on 30 November last year with a birthday bash where she was serenaded by husband, John Legend.
