These bridesmaid dresses are going viral for a fantastic reason
How many times have you found a cute dress and wished that it had pockets? Pretty much all the time, right?
Which is why charity worker, Eve Paterson, has gone viral after photos of her wedding day emerged online, complete with an epic sartorial twist.
The Cambridge bride drew praise after one of her six bridesmaids, Nell Goddard, posted a photo of the big day showing all the girls with white and green pocketed dresses in a completely badass power pose.

"My friend got married last month and her dress and the bridesmaids' dresses ALL HAD POCKETS," Ms Goddard tweeted. "And yes, we did use them for storing snacks, thank you for asking."
Speaking to The Independent, Mrs Paterson explained that practicality was as much a consideration for her bridesmaid dresses as beauty.
"My bridesmaids are all beautifully different shapes, so we decided to go with a brand where they could each pick a dress that they felt amazing in, and where we could add pockets as well," she explained. "You’d never expect to hire suits for guys and then ‘add pockets’ as an extra, so the idea that women have to do it is insane."
After finding her dream wedding dress customised with pockets in David's Bridal, the newly-wed felt spurred on to search for bridesmaid dresses specially designed with the same feature.
"The response to the tweet, from such a diverse range of people across the Twittersphere, has proved that this is a real issue, and it goes beyond weddings," she noted. "Women's clothing simply doesn't empower women as much as it should. Pockets are such a tiny issue in comparison to the oppression of women globally, but I think it plays into a much deeper misconception that women should look good rather than be practically equipped - but why should we have to choose?"
As if we weren't already in love with the wedding day vibe, Mrs Paterson added that her bridesmaids had used the pockets to stash lipstick, phones and chocolate bars - big day essentials, if you ask us.
