Blake Lively is extremely close to her family. The actress has four older siblings (Eric, Lori, Robyn, and Jason – phew!) and revealed that on Christmas Day, they all just stay in bed together. “Somehow we just spend seven hours a day all together just chatting and it’s really nice to have that time, because it's rare that we get together for such a nice chunk of time,” she said. “We never leave the house. We're together all day whether we're making gingerbread houses, or baking cookies, or sitting around and watching movies all piled up.” No news if Ryan and baby James join in on the family fun!

At 5 ft 10, Blake has an amazing figure – but even she has to make sure she keeps it in shape. The actress hired Bobby Strom to get her toned for The Green Lantern and exercises for 90 minutes each day. Her regime consists of circuit training, including squats, lunges, push-ups and planking.

Blake Lively never puts a foot wrong when it comes to her beauty looks. She has her make-up artist Elaine Offers partly to thank for that. So what’s the secret to Blake’s screen siren look? "Blake loves a glossy lip, and I prefer to use nude products that have a little bit of warmth.” Her favourite brands are L’Oreal, NARS and Chantecaille.

As well as being a Hollywood star, Blake is a bit of a domestic goddess, preferring to cook at home rather than head out to expensive restaurants. "I use a lot of fresh ingredients, which really does make a huge difference. It's easier to be healthy when eating things that are fresh, because they are often fruits and vegetables." Blake’s go-to recipes include sausage and brie puff pastry and rotisserie chicken.

A fling with Leonardo DiCaprio followed before true love triumphed and Blake and Ryan became an item in autumn 2011.

Blake Lively married Ryan Reynolds in a secret wedding in Charleston, South Carolina. The pair released a few select images to Martha Stewart Weddings so we got a glimpse of her big day. It included a pink jasmine and Andromeda bouquet, a vanilla and sour cream wedding cake with Earl Grey-milk buttercream and mini tarts and jellies. We even got a teeny-tiny peek at Blake’s gown – a silk tulle gown Marchesa dress with rose-gold embroidery.

Blake Lively said that her body “shifted and changed” after she was pregnant with her first child.
To get fit for her role in The Shallows Blake hired a personal trainer but admitted the exercise did more for than just help her shed the baby weight she'd gained.
She said: “I worked out with an amazing trainer Don Saladino. He kicked my butt. It was also eight months after having a baby so my body was already completely different than what it normally was. Not just aesthetically but also your muscles are different, your body, everything is just shifted and changed.
She told E! News: “It was really crazy. But it was also nice to have that motivation because I wouldn't have done that. I wouldn't have gotten in that kind of shape.
“It was like training for a marathon, but a marathon is one day. This was six weeks straight, six-day weeks, no lunch breaks, thirteen-hour days, four-foot waves at all times. By the time I was done with the movie...I had muscles that I had never had before.”

Talking about her relationship with Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively told USA Today: "We've both given up projects that we really love because we can't keep our family together. People often think their career is something they have to chase and maintain, but for us, we said, 'Let's always chase and maintain our personal life.'
