9 best movies to look out for at the BFI London Film Festival 2022
London Film Festival 2022 is upon us, and with its hotly-anticipated line-up of domestic and international films, things are looking very star-studded for all us movie buffs out there this year.
This year, the 64th edition of the show, which runs from October 5 to October 16, is structured differently, with a bulk of its movie programming and events accessible to UK viewers at home via the BFI player (perfect for those rainy days!), while many other movies, starring the likes of Harry Styles, former GLAMOUR cover girl Sadie Sink and Daniel Craig will be getting the glam treatment thanks to the usual slot of screenings at BFI Southbank, which you can purchase tickets for!
Furthermore, the BFI London Film Festival will see select films have their red carpet premieres in venues across the country from Newcastle to Belfast to Birmingham - so there could be a splash of Hollywood coming near you! In a further shake-up, the festival will also introduce audience awards, which will replace the usual jury awards this year.

British drama film Living centres on a veteran civil servant (Bill Nighy) who, after finding out he only has days to live following a medical diagnosis, moves to the south coast, where he bonds with a young female colleague, Margaret (played by Sex Education star Aimee Lou Wood). Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical

Based on the true story that birthed the #MeToo movement, She Said depicts the work and research conducted by New York Times journalists Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey to break the story of Harvey Weinstein's sexual misconduct allegations.
The Good Nurse
Jessica Chastain and Eddie Redmayne star in this crime drama that follows the journey of nurse Amy Loughren who does her best to balance being a single mother with her high-stress job. However, things quickly go from bad to worse when she's diagnosed with a cardiac condition that requires her to get an urgent heart transplant; otherwise, she could die.
The Whale
In Darren Aronofsky's new flick, The Whale, which is a film adaptation of Samuel D Hunter's play of the same name, Brendan Fraser, plays a reclusive middle-aged man who, at 600 pounds, struggles with obesity while also finding it a challenge to reconnect with his 17 year-old daughter, played by Stranger Things star Sadie Sink.
Glass Onion: Knives Out 2
Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery is a sequel to the 2019 detective drama Knives Out, with Daniel Craig reprising his role as detective Benoit Blanc who travels to Greece to take on another case after someone is found dead at a billionaire's party.
