I still remember being in my pre-teens, on holiday in Los Angeles with my family, and a trip to Sephora being the through-and-through highlight of my fortnight away. More exciting than Universal Studios. More exciting than visiting the Walk of Fame. More exciting than doing a tour around Beverley Hills to spy on celebrity homes. I was beside myself.
At risk of stating the obvious, Sephora hadn't opened in the UK at that time – and it felt like a beauty Mecca. Bigger than any other beauty store I'd ever stepped foot in, and home to so many brands you just couldn't get at home. I spent every penny I had on new beauty products, spanning skincare, haircare, and makeup.
You'll be pleased to know things haven't changed too much – since Sephora landed in the UK, the brand's stores have become my perfect place to spend a free Saturday afternoon, and their new-in section is my most-visited page. As a beauty journalist who literally gets paid to know what's hot, I use their “new and trending" section as a bit of a bible – and a view of what's going on across the industry – and rest assured any product I attend a launch event for will appear there pretty pronto.

Sephora Collection Blow Dry Brush
Why I love it: The best hot air brushes can come in expensive, so I'm always on the hunt for sub-£100 options that actually work. Some go viral and TikTok and don't actually live up to big claims, but I trust Sephora – and this new-in hair tool is already garnering a loyal fan base for all the right reasons.
I'm in the throes of testing, but at first glance, I love the colour-way, and appreciate that it has three different heat settings to choose from – ranging from 60°C to 115°C. There's a cool-shot button to set styles in place, and the brand states that it works well on all hair types. It's easy to hold, lightweight, and smooths flyaways effortlessly.
Sephora Collection Body & Hair Mist 100ml
Why I love it: Another Sephora Collection buy next (there's a lot of good Sephora Collection newness right now), in the form of their Cherry and Whipped Cream hair and body mist. I love a hair perfume, and any product that can save me time gets a thumbs up from me. With notes of creamy milk and fresh cherry, I'll be using this to layer over my favourite perfume for women – and for scent top-ups during the day.
rhode Caffeine Reset Sculpting Cream Mask
Why I love it: The viral rhode Caffeine Reset Sculpting Cream Mask has been described by fellow online beauty sleuths as a cup of coffee for your tired face, featuring Vanillyl Butyl Ether (aka VBE – a stimulating molecule that invigorates skin to make it look more awake), plus caffeine and peptides for reducing puffiness and swelling.
You can use the mask as often as once a daily, and you should apply a generous layer to clean skin – after cleansing – and wear for between 10 and 15 minutes before washing off. You can then go in with your facial serum and night cream or moisturiser.
GISOU Honey Milk Leave In Conditioner
Why I love it: I've been so excited for the Gisou leave-in conditioner to launch since I first received the press release – and am loving testing it right now. It's formulated to be an all-in-one step to use after showering, which will not only detangle your hair but also hydrate, smooth and boost shine, too. I looked at the formula, and was impressed to see hydrolysed milk protein as well as ceramides inside, both of which work together to strengthen and repair hair after heat damage, styling and colouring. As with every Gisou product, this launch smells incredible – expect notes of honey nectar, peach, vanilla and sandalwood.

MORPHE Buttery Blends 6-Piece Travel Brush Set
Why I love it: There’s nothing quite like a fresh new makeup brush set - especially when it comes in the cutest butter yellow I’ve ever seen. If these don’t scream spring, I genuinely don’t know what does. I use the Morphe Foundation Brush every single day, so when I spotted this set of six travel brushes for under £30, complete with a matching butter yellow pouch that actually fits in my handbag, it was an instant yes.
Inside you’ve got the domed foundation brush I already love, a small pointed powder brush that’s ideal for under-eyes and the T-zone, a rounded brush for cream and liquid blush, two eyeshadow brushes (a paddle packer and a blender), plus a dual-ended angled brow brush and spoolie. It’s basically a full face kit, just made portable - perfect for the tube, the train, or those after-work touch-ups at your desk. Easily one of my best buys this month.
Why I love it: I’ll always be a liquid blush girl, but I often add a bit of powder blush over the top to really make the cheekbones pop. I’ve heard amazing things about YSL’s Make Me Blush - so when it landed on my desk, I couldn’t wait to put it on.
I opted for shade Stardust Love 10, a light, pink hue with the perfect amount of sparkle. The finely milled powder glided straight onto my skin (even with hours-old makeup underneath), and the colour payoff was genuinely so impressive. My skin tends to lean on the drier side, so I always get worried that powder products will go cakey or settle into my dry patches, but as this blush is infused with squalane and rosehip oil it actually hydrates the skin with wear. Yes at £44 it’s pretty pricey, but given the rich pigment and silky finish, a little goes a long way.
K18 HeatBounce Conditioning Heat Protectant
Why I love it: As a beauty writer – and someone who speaks to haircare specialists on a near-daily basis – the one thing I’m constantly told is: use a heat protectant. Non-negotiable. I’ve tried plenty over the years – some great, some not so – but K18 is one of those brands that’s never really let me down. So I had high hopes for the K18 Biomimetic Hairscience HeatBounce Conditioning Heat Protectant, and thankfully, it delivers.
It protects up to 450°F, but what I rate is that it doesn’t feel heavy or sticky. It’s lightweight, conditioning, and actually makes my hair easier to brush through before a blow-dry (and I have the knottiest hair in history). The brand’s patented resilicore technology is designed to shield from the cuticle down to the cortex (proper science-backed territory), helping reduce breakage and dryness from heat styling. I use it on damp hair before drying, sometimes on dry hair before going back in with tools, and it leaves my hair softer and shinier - not greasy, like others I’ve tried in the past. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.
OUAI Haircare Melrose Place Fragrance Mist
Why I love it: When it comes to this time of year (and the sun actually makes an appearance), I always do a little fragrance switch up. During the winter months, I often opt for woody or amber notes, whereas in springtime, I like to keep things light and fresh with floral or citrus-based scents.
The first fragrance I’ve added to my spring fragrance wardrobe is this hair and body mist from Ouai, featuring velvety-rich notes of rose, berry, lychee & pink peppercorn. I’m also a huge fan of their Ibiza mist, which has notes of cocoa, tonka bean, vanilla and rum - basically a holiday in a bottle. I find that as it doubles as a hair mist too, the scent lingers around for so much longer. It’s also a fab size to pop in your handbag for quick spritzes on the go.
Why I love it: I'm a huge fan of lip tints, so much so they've taken over my lipstick obsession. When I spotted this viral K-Beauty brand launch its own a few months back, I definitely had high hopes. When I first swiped it on my lips, I was surprised by how pigmented the formula was – a little really does go a long way (so don't panic about the size of the bottle). The water-to-oil formula is what makes this tint unique as it glides on so smoothly and leaves your lips looking hydrated and glossy rather than dry and flaky.
Thanks to nourishing ingredients like ceramides, peptides, and vitamin C and E, this lip tint actually helps moisturise, firm and strengthen the lip, all while providing a gorgeous wash of colour and shine. Oh, and there are eight shades to choose from. I’ve been loving Jazzy Jam; the perfect nude shade.
I wouldn’t necessarily say it lasts for up to 12 hours, as I definitely find myself reapplying it throughout the day. My colleague also agreed, saying: “It's more like the Benefit Benetint.” She added: “It adds a wash of colour that comes straight off when you drink.”
Living Proof Moisture Rescue Mask
Why I love it: I don’t know about you, but the colder months completely dry my hair out. It loses shine, feels rough at the ends and just looks a bit… meh. That’s where Living Proof’s Moisture Rescue Mask comes in - and yes, the name makes sense. I’ve been using it once or twice a week in place of conditioner for the past few months, and I genuinely think it’s why my hair looks smoother and healthier right now.
It’s rich but lightweight and completely silicone-free, working in just five minutes to replenish the hair’s moisture barrier. After one use, my hair felt noticeably softer and more hydrated, and it helps smooth ends and tame flyaways without weighing everything down. It’s the kind of low-maintenance swap that makes a visible difference – especially when your hair’s feeling and looking a bit worse for wear.
erborian CC Red Correct Colour Correcting Cream
Why I love it: Colour corrector wasn’t a step I thought I needed, until my skin started reacting to the cold. I’m talking redness, dry patches, and makeup basically peeling off the minute I got into the office. I only added the Erborian CC cream into my routine recently, but it’s quickly become my shortcut for toning down redness without having to pile on foundation or concealer.
NGL, the green tint looks a bit scary at first, but it blends in fast and takes the redness down straight away, leaving a fresh, dewy finish behind. It’s got Centella asiatica (a Korean skincare staple) in the formula, which is known for being calming and barrier-friendly - exactly what I want when my skin’s feeling reactive. It won’t replace proper coverage on a full-on bad skin day, but for everyday redness? It’s the easiest win in my routine.
