Wild, inventive and truly, gloriously dirty, Prince's style was outrageous and dymanic to the extreme.
Every generation likes to think they invented sex, but not many imbued uncensored raunchiness like Prince. He wore leotards with thigh-high boots; open shirts so low they revealed his navel, garish animal prints and sumptuous velvets, insanely-high heels which he'd perform in for hours. Minimalism was not for him; his approach to fashion was playful, experimental and uncompromising.
He, like David Bowie did before him, redefined sexuality. To say he was a style maverick and zeitgeist doesn't seem to do him justice.
