Some of my favourite everyday jewellery is from Monica Vinader – as you can see me wearing above – but it had to pass a few tests in order to gain a top spot in my jewellery box. When testing the brand, I scored it against the following criteria:

As for what to buy? Yes, but it won't necessarily break the bank. “We were one of the original brands to offer affordable luxury by pioneering the use of 18k gold vermeil,” says Monica. To make it, 18k gold is layered on top of solid sterling silver to create a finish that’s five times thicker than average gold plating. “We did this because we really wanted to encourage the idea that you can buy your own luxury jewellery, not wait to be gifted it,” she says.
