Alexander McQueen's 10 most iconic dresses
Set to open next week, Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty has already broken records with pre-ticket sales. Originally shown at New York's Metropolitan Museam, it quickly became the fastest selling show in the museum's history, at the time attracting over 661,000 visitors and selling over 100,000 copies of the accompanying catalogue.
Finally coming to London, the V&A will open its doors next Saturday, and will show 300 designs of McQueen's as well as 30 new pieces.
Widely regarded as the man who changed fashion in the millenia, the "L'Enfant Terrible" of the design world, Alexander McQueen created some of the most recognisable, innovative and copied catwalks of all time.
Here, illustrator Naomi Howarth has selected 10 of his most iconic collections to date, ranging from his infamous What A Merry Go Round collection in 2001 to his last collection shown after his untimely death in 2010.
Each of these dresses will be shown at the V&A's retrospective.
Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty will show at the Victoria and Albert Museum from the 14 March - 2 August 2015.
