Rex FeaturesAbbey Clancy was born in Liverpool in 1986. Her love of performing (and stunning good looks) were evident from an early age. But (lucky her), she was also a straight-A student and her teachers wanted her to go to law school.
Rex FeaturesHer first taste of fame was with girl band, Genie Queen in 2004. The group was set up by Andy McCluskey, the man behind Atomic Kitten. Despite some time out in LA, the band failed to secure a recording contract and split three years later.
PA PhotosAbbey’s bubbly personality and beauty bagged her an A-List boyfriend in the shape of England striker Peter Crouch. “I worked in The Living Room in Liverpool and it was my friend Tommy’s birthday. Pete was out with them. He’d scored that day and I just went over and said: ‘I knew you’d score’”.
PA PhotosBut Peter isn’t the only footballer Abbey knows. Her brother Sean plays for the Northern team, Burscough FC.
WENNIn 2006, Abbey came to our attention as one of the finalists on Britain’s Next Top Model. While Abbey made it through to the final two, she lost out to Lianna Fowler in the last round.
WENNThat didn’t stop Abbey carving out a successful lingerie career for herself, appearing in the swimsuit edition of Sports Illustrated and the Daily Mail.

She’s also made the foray into high fashion, modelling for Giles Deacon’s London Fashion Week show in September.

While she’s excited about becoming a mum, Abbey is still planning to concentrate on her career. “What motivates me is working and having people believe in you.”
