As much as we GLAMOUR editors love our snug wool coats, cosy oversized knits and stomp-tastic chunky boots, our winter ’fits are starting to feel a little… well, last season. The spring sun is (occasionally) shining, the parks are chokka with daffodils, and the hopeful glee of giving our wardrobes a seasonal refresh feels even more tantalising than that first sip of al fresco rosé.
We’ve been keeping our beady fashion eyes peeled for the brands breaking through the overwhelming retail noise, offering quality pieces that will stand the test of time while tapping into the trends we want to wear now. You can mark our words, come summer, every fashion editor and style insider you know and follow will be wearing Next.
The behemoth of the great British high street is, quite frankly, on a roll. Next has been undergoing something of a not-so-quiet fashion renaissance for the past few years. Now a multi-brand platform, it offers effortlessly chic clothing at competitive prices alongside a luxury section and even designer collaborations (Next x Tabitha Simmons, anyone?) – and its clothing is increasingly tagged on some of the most stylish women we know.
Next’s newest drop, ‘The Destination – Fashion That Takes You Places’ summer campaign, is all about joyful holiday dressing. Fronted by Brazilian model Catarina Guedes, the collection blends vibrant prints, intricate detailing and innovative silhouettes that wouldn’t look out of place in a high-end designer campaign. Think: Chequered two-pieces, White Lotus-style prints, 100% linen (which we’re all enormously grateful for on holiday), lightweight tailoring and Italian motifs!
Here’s our edit of the best summer pieces at Next to shop now…
Crochet is the fashion set’s texture du jour, and this short-sleeve button-through looks effortlessly chic paired with white culottes or baggy jeans, thong sandals and a matching crochet bag.
This gingham set was made for stomping around sunny cobbled streets on your next city break. Size up for an oversized look.
Linen suits abounded in summer 2024 as a foolproof way to look polished in warmer climes – and 2025 is no different. This delicious washed lime green shade looks way more expensive than its price tag. Pair with a raffia clutch for holiday, or your best roomy tote for the office.
It is a truth universally acknowledged that every woman needs a throw-on flippy dress for summer, and we love the chunky blue-and-white parasol stripes on this one, perfect for popping on over a bikini during the day or smartening up with some heels for evening sundowners.
There’s something undeniably appealing about delicate fruit motifs on summery linen sets, the fashion equivalent of strolling through a sun-dappled Mediterranean market. Snap up this affordable two-piece before everyone else cottons on.
We’ve rarely met a puff-sleeve dress we didn’t like, and this floral one with a flattering cinched waist is wonderfully versatile. Wear it everywhere from the boardroom to your best friend’s wedding.
This striped bandeau set is a great way to look chic during the summer months without requiring much thought. Simply throw on with your favourite sandals, sunnies and over-the-shoulder bag, et voilà.
A flowing silk suit will, perhaps surprisingly, be one of the hardest-working pieces in your summer wardrobe. Pair with trainers for lunch with the girls (or swap the shirt out for a white tee), or match with metallic gold sandals for a night out. The shirt would also look great tucked into mid-wash high-rise jeans.
A throw-on, loose-fitting dress is a must in the warmer months, and we love the tropical print on this one (it’s giving White Lotus resorts).
Mesh flats aren’t going anywhere, and this might be one of the comfiest pairs we’ve tried.
Combining our love of typographic slogans and a timeless blue-and-white-striped shirt, we predict this blouse will be all over your FYPs. Ciao bella!
