I've always thought I had an eye for detail, finding interesting elements in someone's makeup or spotting the telltale signs of extensions, but I've got to hand it to the internet — the next-level eagle eyes noticed two things about Zendaya at the Golden Globes that initially escaped me when I was homing in on her Old Hollywood bob: a never-before-noticed tattoo and a very interestingly placed ring. And both have people wondering if she and long-time love Tom Holland have taken their relationship to the next level.
It probably should have occurred to me when I was checking out Zendaya's dreamy, semi-sheer, palest-pink manicure: That's a friggin' diamond ring on her left ring finger. That's traditionally what the left ring finger of someone who's engaged looks like, and as someone who's been engaged three times (weird flex/humble brag, I know), I don't know how it didn't register. Short of an official announcement, there's really no reason to believe that Zendaya and Holland, who've been together for years and play love interests in the Spider-Man movies, aren't betrothed.
Should we all dye our hair red?

Adding even more fuel to the romantic fire is the teensy tiny tattoo that Zendaya's strapless Louis Vuitton gown only occasionally revealed. Positioned high up on her ribcage under her left arm is a little lowercase letter T, presumably for Tom. (Does this mean he has a Z somewhere?)
And just look at Zendaya's face in that photo at the top of this article. That's the smile of someone who knows a very joyful secret and is relishing what she surely knew would be enthusiastic speculation.
The diamond ring has the internet playing detective.

That speculation has spread across social media like wildfire, with TikToks about what may be the cutest conspiracy theory of all time. “Zendaya, is there something you're not telling us, girl? Is that an engagement ring I see on your finger?” says content creator Flynn West in a TikTok video. “What is going on?”
Currently, articles reporting that the couple's engagement is confirmed may be getting a little ahead of themselves; neither Zendaya nor Holland have put out a statement at the time we are publishing the story you're currently reading. But if everyone's hopeful assumptions are right, we've got an especially fabulous celebrity wedding to look forward to.
