Taylor Swift and Zac Efron have denied that they are dating - via the medium of song.
The pair, who both voice characters in Dr Seuss' The Lorax, referenced the recent reports that they were together when they performed a cover of Pumped Up Kids on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Zac started the ditty about people thinking he and the 22-year-old were "girlfriend and boyfriend".
<p class="MsoNormal">Taylor told Ellen earlier in the programme:
"We are not a couple. He's awesome, we are not a couple
though. You hear people get together when they're shooting movies,
co-stars. The stars were rumoured to be an item after they were
spotted sharing a "flirty dinner" at LA's Pace restaurant last
month.

Zac Efron and Taylor Swift have reportedly been on a "flirty" dinner date together. The pair, who co-star in Dr Seuss film The Lorax, were said to be "deep in conversation and very giggly" as they shared a meal at Italian restaurant Place in LA earlier this month. However, a source revealed to reporters that the outing was a platonic meal between friends, and that nothing is going on between the two. The insider explained: "They were in LA doing press stuff together, and after they were done, they decided to grab dinner... They have been friends a long time." Meanwhile, another source revealed that a romance between the actor and the singer is unlikely: "Taylor thinks Zac's cute... [but] they are on totally different wavelengths." News of the date comes just days after Swift revealed that her new album will deal with an "earth-shattering heartbreak" from a previous break-up.
