Three years ago London-based Llia Apostolou was preparing to go to her sister's wedding and felt she'd enjoy it more if she had a date. Instead of turning to the world of Tinder in the months running up, a week before the wedding she made a bold call out on Twitter for any eligible men that might be free.

She wrote: "Are you a man? Can I borrow you for a wedding next weekend? Bonus points if you can source a baby that I can pretend is mine too."

Lo and behold, her call was answered. Plucky Phil couldn't locate a baby but he could locate a suit. He replied saying: "@Llia I can do this, I've got a suit and everything!"

Fast forward almost three years to the day and the pair are now hitched. Could this be any sweeter?

We should let you know Llia did admit they never actually went to the wedding but they did go on their first date that week.

Talking to the Metro she said: "[I] should clarify, we didn't go to that wedding together (it was my sister's, imagine!) but Phil and I did meet in real life for the first time that week.

"But still - I jokingly wished to marry him, having not even met him, and it happened. Still blows my mind."

Thank god for Twitter, eh?
