Kim Kardashian has her friend Simone Harouche to thank for raising the alarm after she was robbed in terrifying heist.
But who is Simone Harouche?
The 36-year-old is known for being a stylist to the stars and as well as Kim, she's dressed Miley Cyrus, Nicole Richie and Ashley Tisdale.
After studying at Parsons School of Design in New York, she got her big break when Christina Aguilera invited her to work on her Back to Basics album photoshoot and she's credited with being the brains behind the singer's 50s pin-up style.
Simone told Stylist: "I knew Christina socially and she liked my style. She would always ask me to do little things for her - she was very persistent and kept asking me to do little jobs."
It's thought she's known the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star since childhood when they both attended Marymount High School in Bel Air.
The mother of two often appears in Kim and the rest of the family's Instagram pictures. Kim posted one recently captioned: "Fun day working with my high school BFF."
On the night the attack happened, Kourtney posted a snap of her with Kim and Simone on their way to the Givenchy show earlier in the evening.
While Kourtney headed out with Kendall Jenner to nightclub, the Arc, with Kim's bodyguard Pascal Duvier while Kim and Simone headed back to the apartment.
When the five masked men broke into the Paris apartment in the early hours of Monday morning, they bound Kim's hands and ankles and put her in the bath. They stole $10m worth of jewellery including $4m engagement ring.
Simone heard the commotion and immediately locked herself in the bathroom calling Kim's bodyguard, Pascal.
According to E! News, when the robbers left, Kim managed to free herself and ran to the balcony to raise the alarm. Simone heard Kim's cries for help and ran to meet the star.
Simone left Paris for Los Angeles, where she lives with her real estate husband, Marc Bretter, son Dashiel and their daughter, Azlan.
