Ariana Greenblatt is a name you should be familiar with. After all, she will soon be seen in the role of Sasha in Greta Gerwig's highly coveted upcoming movie Barbie, which has already taken over the entertainment world with its promotional trail.
And while the focus is on the movie's lead actor Margot Robbie, a slew of other actors have joined her on the big screen to bring the world of the Mattel doll to life, including Ariana.
However, while the cast includes well-known, established names such as Ugly Betty's America Ferrera, Sex Education's Emma Mackey and Insecure's Issa Rae, not much is known about the 15-year-old who has held her own amongst everyone else.
So what do we know about Ariana, and how did she come about starring in the highly coveted Barbie movie?
Well, New York-born Ariana comes from a family of entertainers and Broadway producers, so she has always had entertainment in her blood.
She kick-started her professional acting career in 2016 with the Disney Channel show Stuck in the Middle, in which she starred alongside Jenna Ortega, who is now an Emmy-nominated star thanks to her role in Netflix's Wednesday.
While working on the show for two years, Ariana fine-tuned her acting chops with other big gigs, such as the film A Bad Moms Christmas, which also starred Mila Kunis and Kristen Bell. Major.
If that wasn't enough, she starred as Young Gamora in Avengers: Infinity War in 2018 and also tried her hand at Dancing with the Stars: Juniors, where she was one of the three runners-up.
Her other movie credits include In The Heights and Awake, and she has also lent her voice to projects such as 2020's Scoob! and The Boss Baby: Family Business the following year.
Earlier this year, she starred alongside Adam Driver in the science fiction action thriller 65.
And things have only continued to get better for Ariana, whose role in Barbie is her biggest to date and a complete pinch-me moment given that she, just like the rest of us, was a huge Margot fan.
Speaking of her audition process, which involved a Zoom session with Margot and the movie's director Greta, the teenager told Elle: "My only thought in my head was like, Look, however this goes, just cherish this moment forever [and] the fact that you get to meet these two beautiful, inspiring women just at least once. That's all I wanted."
Luckily, she got two meet her idols and also work with them, and if that isn't a testament to the talents of Ariana Greenblatt and her future as one of Hollywood's one-to-watch, then we don't know what is!
