Vieve has just launched a brand-new lipstick line and guess what, we were the first to get our hands on it. Firstly, they're packaged in this opulent gold ribbed casing and first impressions last. As for formula, it's infused with a nourishing blend of ingredients like shea butter, vitamin E, bitter orange flower oil, jojoba seed oil, and even hyaluronic acid for max hydration.

So not only will your pout look the part, but it'll also feel incredibly soft and conditioned. No dry or crusty lips in sight. The best part? The formula promises to keep it from bleeding and transferring all over your mouth and clothes.

As for the shades, the brand is starting out with four neutral shades, that promise to complement a wide range skin tones: Nightie, Silk Sheets, Kink, and Deep Love. Pair it with your lipliner of choice and you're bound to make at least one of these 100% vegan shades work.

In true GLAMOUR form we've decided to try these four shades across different skin tones to see if they feel as good as they look and if they stood the test of time. The Vieve Satin Slip Lipsticks will only be available on vieve.com on the 6th June, but until then, here are our truest and most honest thoughts.

I love me some Vieve, and although I'm not one of those lipstick-is-life girlies, I am not opposed to giving them a go every once in a while, so as soon as I laid my eyes on this one, I was hooked. Off the bat, I'm obsessed with the packaging. These babies come in the most luxurious gold ribbed tubes and the lid is magnetic, which helps to not spoil the product when you're taking the lid on and off. Not only do they look super aesthetically pleasing sitting on your vanity, but they also have a weighty feel that screams “expensive” without being uncomfortably heavy and without the hefty price tag.

As for the lipstick itself. The formula is absolutely divine, gliding on like silk (as the name suggests) and leaving your lips feeling soft and pampered. The pigmentation is on point, delivering vibrant colour in just a couple of swipes. Enough to balance the hues on my dark and dual coloured lips. And let's not forget about that satiny finish that adds that extra touch of elegance. Does this mean that I'm a lipstick convert now?

As someone who much prefers a creamy, matte lipstick to a gloss or stain, I greatly appreciate Vieve's latest Satin Slip lip launch. It comes in a slim, gold case with magnetic clasp which feels fancy in my makeup bag, it slides smoothly across your lips in-line with the name, and the colour pay-off was good. It stayed in place all morning, then left a subtle tint to my lips after eating a sandwich for lunch. Oh, and the shade I tried is my vibe to a T: nightie, which is a complexion-lifting peachy pink that's just perfect for spring and summer.

I also obviously have to start with a shout-out the gold ribbed lipstick bullet!!! It's giving throwback supermodel glamour at it's absolute best. I'm normally not a '90s nude kind of girl, but this has been an education. I love the warm tones and the soft buttery texture. I'll definitely be giving brown-toned nudes and pinks more space in my makeup bag going forward. I tried the shade Silk Sheets, a tawny-coloured rose, and loved the subtle statement it made.  My only gripe is that the rounded tip of the lipstick makes precision for messy-applicators like me a bit tricky. I'd love it to be a little more pointed.

I haven't been this impressed with a lipstick in a long time. On application of Vieve's satin slip lipstick I wasn't sure what to expect as I've found hybrid formulas can sometimes be a little drying, but applying this I had to double check it had even gone on because it applied that smoothly.

I used the shade Kink and loved the subtle brownish nude finish it gave, with it blending effortlessly for a super silky end result that felt incredibly comfortable on. It's the type of lipstick you feel like you could get away with having on all day without having to worry too much about smudging or top ups. This is the perfect day to night shade and I will absolutely be keeping this one on repeat and trialling it in combination with some brown lip liner for a more elevated look. Obsessed.

I looove myself a quality satin lipstick. Unlike the matte formulations, the consistency of satin lipsticks feels way smoother on the lips and doesn’t leave them too dry throughout the day. And as an avid fan of all things Vieve, I was beyond excited to try out the brand’s new lipstick range. I opted for the colour Silk Sheets, which is a very flattering mauve-y nude. At first glance, I was really impressed by the packaging and its luxurious yet minimalistic feel.

The shape of the lipstick itself was perfect to achieve precise application, the formula applied like butter and the pigment was out of this world. The best part? It doesn’t even feel like I’m wearing any lipstick whatsoever, making it a great choice for the summer. Easily one of the best lipsticks I’ve tried this year.
