In exciting news, we will be treated to a whole new female-led chat show, Unfiltered Women – and it will be hosted by three disabled women as part of ITV's Fresh Cuts project this Disability History Month.
The latest ITV synopsis for the show reads as follows: “Unfiltered Women is a brand new chat show featuring three outspoken disabled women. Samantha Renke, Fats Timbo, and Jay Howard say whatever they want about living in a disabling world.”
Scope is calling on the government to listen to disabled people and fix the broken benefits system.

The chat show consists of three episodes, which will have a Loose Women style format. The trio will cover dating, attitudes towards disabled people and the ups and downs of travelling as a disabled person.
“Fresh Cuts is all about championing underrepresented voices,” Natalie Rose, executive producer of the project, has said. "Our content will be produced and directed by first-time talent from diverse backgrounds. Their perspective is central to producing this content and how it is executed."
Here's everything we know about the upcoming chat show Unfiltered Women.
Unfiltered Women cast
Here's a little bit about each woman participating in the chat show:
Samantha is a disability activist, vocal about her experience with brittle bone condition and how society lets disabled people down. She has written for GLAMOUR about how it feels to be stared at as a disabled woman, and works as an inclusion consultant, actor, broadcaster and writer. Samantha has also been an ambassador for Scope, ADD International and Parallel Global, and was named third most influential disabled person in The Shaw Trust’s Power 100 list of 2020. She's appeared on Loose Women, Jeremy Vine on 5, The Disability Paradox and How To Beat… Ageing. Her book, You Are The Best Thing Since Sliced Bread, reminds us all to be “unapologetically you”.
Fats was honoured as GLAMOUR's 2023 creator of the year at our Woman of the Year Awards, with a huge online following where she talks to fans through snappy sketches about dwarfism and ableism. Her book, Main Character Energy: Ten Commandments For Living Life Fearlessly does exactly what it says on the tin – an empowering read about accepting and loving yourself and your body. She also hosts her own stand-up comedy night Fats and Friends and has appeared on The Undateables, BBC’s Celebrity Mastermind, Celebrity Gogglebox and The Apprentice: You’re Fired.
Jay was the first disabled contestant to appear on Married at First Sight and has since worked as an advocate for those with disabilities and limb differences like herself. She's launching a podcast where she talks to guests with different disabilities, and is an ambassador for Reach, which supports children with upper limb differences. Jay also won the Woman of Advocacy Award at the Power of Women awards. Talk about empowering.
