Digital age romance often gets a bad rap. In the age of Tinder and ghosting, real romance is a rare find, so we were overjoyed to hear about one success story. And it all started on Twitter.
Finding herself dateless for a wedding the next day back in October 2015, Madison O'Neill decided to take to Twitter to ask her followers if anyone would like to accompany her. She wrote "hmu if you wanna be my date for a wedding tomorrow". Brave it was - but soon enough an old acquaintance from school slid into her DMs.
Chuck Dorhmann, a boy in the year above her at school, wrote to Madison "Dude I'll be your date to a wedding! When is it?"
What followed must have been the date from dreams and the pair soon became girlfriend and boyfriend. But it gets better. Nearly two years to the day after their first date, Madison and Chuck are planning their own wedding. He proposed!
