The Trisha Paytas baby theory is back doing the rounds on the internet following the birth of their third child coinciding with the death of Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne. A sentence we never thought we'd be saying either, yet here we all are.
ICYMI, Paytas and husband Moses Hacmon welcomed a baby boy named Aquaman (yes, really) earlier this month, with the livestream name reveal and announcement post landing yesterday.
With the news arriving on the same day as the passing of The Prince of Darkness, the Trisha Paytas theory started gaining traction yet again on socials. À la 2022, the link between the two events was immediately flagged by users joking that they were perhaps more meaningfully connected than one might initially think.
So what is the Trisha Paytas theory and where did it start? Here's everything we know, including its origins and their baby names. Tin foil hats optional.

How Is Ozzy Osbourne connected to the Trisha Paytas baby theory?
Internet users are joking that the fact Trisha's baby announcements always seem to fall around a similar time to major public figures passing away is proof that their children are reincarnations of each, with several TikTok comments such as “Trisha Paytas took him” and “Trisha Paytas, what did you dooo?!?” on videos announcing Osbourne's death.
Prior to this, however, TikTokkers online who had noticed Paytas had gone quiet on socials were running with the theory that they had gone into labour and Donald Trump may instead be next in line as part of the Trisha Paytas baby legacy.
Amid the news of Trump's chronic venous insufficiency (a very common medical condition among older men, may we flag), several videos sharing the cosmically confusing theory started picking up traction.
One video with 3.8M views on TikTok reads "Trump has been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency and Trisha Paytas is expecting her third child this months LORD WE ARE READY.”, with similar sentiments being shared in other posts such as “Trisha hasn’t posted in days, Trump’s health is getting worse if my girl pulls this one off I may just become religious.”

In fact, it seems like that celestial privilege was not reserved for Trump.
To fill you in, Paytas is no stranger to frankly bizarre internet rumours through the years, though we'd argue that this one is perhaps the weirdest of all.
Trisha Paytas theory origins
The Trisha Paytas theory first originated back in September 2022 after Paytas announced that they had gone into labour around the same time as the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
In typical internet fashion, this connection was quickly picked up and escalated into a viral joke in which users suggested that Paytas' baby was in fact the reincarnation of the late queen. Because of course.
Trisha's second baby arrived with no cosmic overture, though when Pope Francis passed away in April 2025 fans were quick to revisit the theory, suggesting that Paytas' third child may in fact be carrying the Pope's soul. We know, gnarly stuff.

Ultimately, the timelines didn't make sense with this one, with Trisha herself responding to the theory on her podcast Just Trish in which she said “First of all, I’m months away from my due date, not even close this time", before challenging "Is it just any influential person that dies gets to come reincarnated as my baby?”
Yeah, basically Trish.
“I don’t know how my womb is carrying all these souls," she joked.
Ultimately, while Osbourne's death was actually ten days after the birth of Paytas' third baby, the announcement timing has meant that people feel this is no mere coincidence.
We'll leave that for you to mull over, and in the meantime here's the adorable baby announcement photos:
