Timothée Chalamet is currently on the promotional trail for his movie Bones & All, and we can't wait to see more of him - even if the movie is billed as a “cannibal horror-come-romance”. Eek!

The hotly-anticipated movie, which sees Chalamet reunite with visionary Luca Guadagnino, the director behind his 2017 film, Call Me By Your Name, opened up to rave reviews at the Venice Film Festival - and has already put the 26-year-old New York-born actor at the forefront of next year's Oscars race. Seriously impressive stuff.

But the theme of the movie being cannibalism has certainly raised a few eyebrows - especially with Timothée's former CMBYN co-star Armie Hammer at the centre of allegations of cannibalistic fantasies, emotional abuse, manipulation, and sexual violence - which can be seen in the House of Hammer documentary.

So what exactly is the new movie Bones & All based on? If you want to know more this new movie, GLAMOUR UK has you covered…

What is Bones & All About?

Based on Camille DeAngelis’ novel of the same name, the movie will star Taylor Russell (Waves) as Maren Yearly, a young woman who suffers from a condition that sees her wanting to eat other humans, something that she had since she was a child. We are totally feeling some creepy Silence of the Lambs vibes here.

After being abandoned by her mother on her sixteenth birthday, Maren falls in love with a fellow cannibalism lover and intense drifter Lee (Timothée Chalamet). The pair decide to embark on a cross-country trip during Ronald Reagan's America, where all rounds continue to lead them back to their terrifying pasts….

That definitely holds our interest!

What are critics saying about Bones & All?

The critics loved the movie Bones & All, and Taylor and Timothée have been praised for their performances.

“It’s so carefully made, and so lovely to look at, even at its grisliest, that it ends up seeming a little remote, rather than a movie that draws you close. Still, its actors give you something to watch every minute,” writes TIME Magazine

The Hollywood Reporter adds: “Guadagnino’s seemingly divergent interests in romance and horror have never come together quite so ideally as they do here, played out against a constantly moving canvas of small-town America.”

The Guardian says: “Bones And All is an extravagant and outrageous movie: scary, nasty and startling in its warped romantic idealism.”

When will Bones & All be released?

Bones & All will be released in the US on November 23. A UK release date is yet to be confirmed.
