Best believe Taylor Swift is still bejewelled when she walks in the room, even though Midnights won't be eligible until next year's Grammys.
On February 5, the “Anti-Hero” singer arrived on the 2023 Grammy Awards red carpet in a seriously on-brand blue Roberto Cavalli crop top and skirt combo with sparkling star-inspired sequined embellishments. Swift wore her hair pulled back to show off her statement sapphire and diamond earrings, topping off the look with her signature red lips and subtle blue eyeshadow with inky black eyeliner.
Just because she won't be picking up any Grammys for Midnights (yet) doesn't mean she'll go home empty-handed. Before the ceremony began, Taylor Swift already scored a win for Best Music Video for “All Too Well: The Short Film,” making her a 12-time Grammy Award-winning artist. Her video beat out fellow nominees Adele, BTS, Doja Cat, Harry Styles, and Kendrick Lamar.
Tonight, Swift is also nominated for best song of the year for “All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (The Short Film),” best country song for "I Bet You Think About Me (Taylor's Version) (From The Vault)," and best song written for visual media for “Carolina” from Where The Crawdads Sing.
Next up, Swift has been tapped to write and direct her first feature film for Searchlight Pictures. “Taylor is a once-in-a-generation artist and storyteller. It is a genuine joy and privilege to collaborate with her as she embarks on this exciting and new creative journey,” Searchlight presidents David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield told Variety.
It looks like she's working towards EGOT status. If anyone can do it, it's Taylor Swift.
