Yesterday we reported that Taylor Swift was going to take a break from music - a little time away from the spotlight - and now it's been revealed that she's the Queen of Instagram.
The Blank Space singer officially hit the 50 million followers mark yesterday making her account the most popular account worldwide.
"50 million followers!!" she captioned a screen shot of the moment. "Thanks so much guys. I'm pretty sure this is just because I have cute cats though."
She's not wrong there...
The 25-year-old beat Kim Kardashian who currently has 48.4 million followers, and Beyonce who has 47.5 million followers.
According to Charles Porch, the head of global creative programs at Instagram, the appeal of these celebrities' accounts on the photo-based social media platform lie in being "authentic and oftentimes really fun."

"What Instagram is doing is giving all these ladies a direct line to their fans and, by having a direct line, they're controlling their message," Porch told Reuters.
By contrast, the most popular male celebrity on Instagram is Justin Bieber, with 40 million followers, followed (not so closely behind) by President Barack Obama, with 4.7 million.
