If there’s one thing Taylor Swift loves (apart from ‘the guy on the Chiefs’), it’s a cryptic clue. So you can’t blame Swifties for analysing every detail, every social media post – and every movement of her friends and exes.
For the past few days, London has been swimming in cowboy boots, sparkly bodysuits, and friendship bracelets as Swift comes to the end of her massive sell-out Eras Tour. Despite three shows in Vienna having to be cancelled, the tour has been a huge success and will conclude on Tuesday 20 August 2024.
Swift’s decision to finish the Eras Tour in London speaks volumes about her love of the capital, and it’s undeniable that the singer has a soft spot for the UK. She had a string of British boyfriends, including Loki actor Tom Hiddleston, The Favourite actor Joe Alwyn, frontman of The 1975 Matty Healy, and of course Harry Styles.
Fans lucky enough to secure a highly coveted Wembley Stadium ticket are in for a treat.

Taylor Swift and Harry Styles' history
Swift and Styles dated between 2012 and 2013, back when Twilight was all over our screens, and millennials were wearing business casual to the club. The couple’s relationship sent the internet into a frenzy, with the worlds of One Direction fans and Swifties colliding.
The jury’s out on why the musical power couple broke up, with some sources saying it was after a huge argument, while others say it was due to all the media attention and pressure. Styles himself spoke to Rolling Stone about the relationship, saying: “It was a learning experience for sure.”
He also spoke about his age playing a factor, saying: “Relationships are hard, at any age. And adding in that you don’t really understand exactly how it works when you’re 18, trying to navigate all that stuff didn’t make it easier.”
Why people think Harry Styles will be at Taylor Swift's London Eras Tour
Now, fans think there could be a surprise reunion on the cards for Swift and Styles – and they’ve got the receipts. It all started on Sunday when an eagle-eyed fan seemingly spotted Styles walking along a London street with the Haim sisters, who are close pals of Swift. “This is wild”, commented one fan on the TikTok video, while another said: “Ummm… what’s going on? Taylor, are you seeing this?”
Sisters Este, Danielle and Alana – who perform together under the eponymous band name HAIM – have been besties with Swift for at least a decade. In true ‘women supporting women’ fashion, the musicians have expressed a love for each other’s music and have been spotted together on numerous occasions over the years.
The Eras Tour features two surprise songs at each date.

The Swiftie fandom went into overdrive, speculating about why Styles and the Haim sisters were hanging out. “[You’re] going to hate me for saying this… but Harry hanging out with the Haim sisters means theres about a 98% chance he's also hanging out with Taylor” wrote a fan on X (formerly Twitter).
This has led to the theory that Styles will make a cameo during the next show at Wembley Stadium. The logic is sound, as Swift has a history of bringing exes on stage.
Last July, while performing in Kansas City, Swift shared a warm embrace with ex Taylor Lautner on stage. The two dated back in 2009 and had an amicable break-up, which explains how they’re able to stay such good friends to this day. Lautner even appeared in Swift’s video for I Can See You last year.
Not only this, Swift has already had one surprise guest on the London leg of her tour, sending fans wild when Ed Sheeran hopped on stage during Thursday's show. They sang a mash-up of Everything Has Changed and End Game together before Sheeran lit up the stadium with his love song Thinking Out Loud.
After Ed Sheeran, the speculation is rife.

But while there’s hope, there’s also doubt. Fans were sure that Post Malone (real name Austin Richard Post) would be making an appearance in London, thanks to a supposed Easter Egg on the tour poster. After each date is an icon, with a heart appearing next to Thursday’s date and a typewriter appearing next to Saturday’s. What with Swift’s history of symbols and iconography, fans were quick to decipher what these could mean.
With Swift and Post’s hit collab Fortnight in mind, fans realised that the music video heavily features references to typewriters, and decided this must mean that Post Malone will be making a surprise appearance during Saturday’s show. But it wasn’t to be: Post never appeared (which would have been miraculous, seeing as he’s currently in Nashville doing his own album promotion), and the theories went out the window.
So we’re definitely not delulu in thinking that Harry Styles could be making a surprise guest appearance on the Eras Tour, but we might have to manifest a little harder to make it a reality.
The need to know if you're heading to Wembley Stadium this August.
