On August 10, Variety held its Power of Young Hollywood party to celebrate young talent across the entertainment industry and honour three cover stars, including Sydney Sweeney. The Euphoria actor showed out for the event with buttery blonde hair that looked so unbelievably glossy, I still refuse to believe it's real.
Sweeney kept her hairstyling and makeup on the simpler side to complement her statement-making black leather gown and matching shoes. Her lustrous blonde hair, which was parted down the middle, flowed to her chest, ending in a light curl. At her roots, you can see a whisper of light brunette that transitions seamlessly into the bright blonde hue.
Put down the scrunchie!

Her hair practically looked like silk with its brilliant sheen. How Sweeney achieved having hair this glowy? No clue, at least not yet — Sydney, if you're reading this, drop the deets. However, we do know that hair glosses like Pureology Color Fanatic Top Coat + Tone Hair Gloss (available in five shades) and L'Oréal Paris Casting Creme Gloss (available in eight shades) are great for adding an extra layer of shine.
As for her glam, she embraced sparkle and shine with shimmery silver eye shadow on her lids. A darker pigment, likely black or navy blue, was smoked-out on her lids to create the faintest cat-eye. You can barely see the diffused pigment, yet it still helps define her eyes. Her glossy lips almost rivaled the sheen on her hair.
Sweeney didn't just bless us with this lustrous hair and glistening makeup: Her nails were just as exciting. Her almond-shaped tips were a gorgeous sheer sapphire blue, making them jelly nails. Each nail had a holographic detail that made them gleam.
Sweeney's Young Hollywood cover is well-deserved and also so cute. I can't decide if I'm more in love with '70s curls in her Variety shoot or this sleek hair she had at the party.
Her style is anything but boring.
