We have never, ever been happier to see Sydney Sweeney hit the red carpet. On 12 September, the Euphoria actor arrived at the 2022 Emmy Awards in Downtown Los Angeles wearing a sparkling Oscar de la Renta gown with a Bridgerton-esque bustle.

Back in July, Sweeney secured not one, but two best-supporting actress Emmy nominations, marking the first and second time she's been honoured by the Television Academy. The actor has been nominated in the drama category as well as the limited series category for her work as Cassie in Euphoria and Olivia in The White Lotus, respectively.

On the gold carpet, Sweeney contrasted the glamour of the dress and its intricate embroidery by leaving her grown-out blonde lob in loose waves and keeping her makeup look simple with a pretty pink lip.

Sydney Sweeney remains booked and busy. On top of Euphoria season three, the actor is set to produce and star in the HBO limited series The Player's Table and Marvel's upcoming Spider-man spin-off Madame Web alongside Dakota Johnson. Furthermore, she says she won't be taking a break from acting anytime soon, even if she wanted to.

"They don't pay actors like they used to, and with streamers, you no longer get residuals,” she told The Hollywood Reporter in July, adding, “If I wanted to take a six-month break, I don't have income to cover that. I don't have someone supporting me, I don't have anyone I can turn to, to pay my bills or call for help.”

Here's how she broke it down: “The established stars still get paid, but I have to give 5% to my lawyer, 10% to my agents, 3% or something like that to my business manager. I have to pay my publicist every month. That's more than my mortgage.”

Ultimately, the artist says she's resorted to taking multiple brand deals to subsidise her income. “If I just acted, I wouldn’t be able to afford my life in L.A.,” she said. “I take deals because I have to….I couldn’t believe I was even able to buy a house. I want to be able to stay there.”
