The Shark FacialPro Glow has officially joined my skincare lineup – and honestly, it has more than earned its spot.
Since reaching my late twenties, skincare tools of all kinds have become a part of my self-care ritual; my bathroom is basically a mini spa, home to a CurrentBody LED mask and my trusty FaceGym gua sha. So, when Shark invited me to preview the FacialPro Glow before its launch, promising an at-home Hydra-Facial experience, I knew I had to see if it lived up to the hype.
I'm someone who used to book in for weekly Hydra-Facials before my wedding (yes, my bank account is still recovering), so the idea of getting those same pore-clearing, glow-boosting results without leaving the house sounded too good to be true. But, I've spent the past month testing it (the Shark FacialPro Glow officially launched in the UK in the first week of October; rather than going live with a review immediately, I wanted to see if it was worth the hype) and have many positive thoughts.
Ahead, everything you need to know.

How I Tested The Shark FacialPro:
I’ve got dry, sometimes dehydrated skin, so when Shark announced the FacialPro Glow – basically an at-home Hydrafacial promising clearer, glowier skin – I was all in. I got my hands on it before it launched and attended the press event, where the Shark team explained exactly how it works, how to use it safely on sensitive skin, and what kind of results to expect. There was even a live demo, which definitely helped me make sense of all the attachments (there are a lot, btw).
Because my skin can be on the sensitive side, I decided to play it safe to start. I patch-tested the AHA + BHA Derm Detox Exfoliating Gel beforehand since I knew it was a strong acid-based formula. It did tingle a little, but nothing too harsh - and I didn’t have any redness or irritation afterwards. For my first session, I went for the gentle tip attachments and the medium suction level. Now that my skin’s used to it (and I’m more confident), I’ve moved up to full intensity with the ‘normal’ tips. From experience, I’d say it’s perfectly fine for most sensitive skin types.
I’ve been testing the FacialPro Glow once a week for the past month, usually in the evenings when I can actually take my time. I stuck to the brand’s recommended order (cleanse, exfoliate, hydrate, depuff) and noted how my skin looked and felt after each session. I even took before-and-after photos, and filmed a TikTok of the whole process below.

Why You Can Trust Me:
I’ve been reviewing beauty and wellness products for over six years – five years in previous roles, and the last eight months here at Glamour. In that time, I’ve tested hundreds of skincare tools, from LED face masks and gua sha tools to spot treatments for acne. I regularly attend brand launches, interview dermatologists and MUA’s, and get early access to new products so I can properly trial them before they hit the shelves.
When it came to the Shark FacialPro Glow, I spoke directly to the experts behind the device to understand the tech, the results it claims, and how best to use it for my skin type. Though I don’t have acne-prone skin, I do struggle with dehydration and visible pores (mostly because I never drink enough water). After just two sessions, my skin looked glowier, smoother, and makeup went on like a dream - so it's safe to say it lives up to its claims.
Shark FacialPro Glow First Impressions:
In short, the Shark FacialPro Glow combines exfoliation, extraction and hydration in one palm-sized gadget, while its partner tool – the DePuffi – brings that post-facial sculpt and lift using clever hot-and-cold therapy.
When I first unboxed the device, the three attachments, four tips and a couple of serums left me feeling a little bit out of my depth. But, after scanning the QR code and watching the short tutorial, the device was surprisingly easy to get the hang of.
How To Use The Shark FacialPro Glow:
I started by cleansing my skin with micellar water and grabbing the Depuffi attachment, which uses DualTemp technology to alternate between heat and cooling settings. I began with the heat mode, which helps open pores and boost circulation – the perfect skin prep before any treatment. I couldn’t believe how quickly the device heated up (literally, within seconds) and how effective it was, too.
Once my face felt nice and warm, it was exfoliation time. I clicked the exfoliation attachment onto the power bank (super simple to do) and filled up the water in the ‘water tank’.
I went in with the brand’s Derm Detox Serum (included with the tool) - labelled ‘1’, which makes things nice and easy. I squeezed a pea-sized amount onto my skin and left it for three minutes as advised. NGL, this stuff stings – but I guess that means it’s doing its thing. Formulated in a Korean skincare lab, the facial serum is infused with Alpha-Hydroxy Acids (AHAs), which gently lift dead skin cells and daily grime from your pores.
There are four interchangeable tip attachments to choose from, each designed to target different areas of the face. You’ve got the gentle wide tip for sensitive skin (perfect for cheeks and forehead), a gentle T-zone tip to get right into those trickier areas around the nose, and then standard versions of both for those with more resilient skin types or who want a deeper clean.
Since it was my first go – and my skin can be reactive, especially when acids are involved – I played it safe with the gentler options and set the suction to medium (there are three intensity levels to choose from).
The design is pretty ingenius – a dual-tank system that keeps clean water on one side and collects all the gunk it pulls from your skin on the other. As the FacialPro glides across your face, you can literally see it doing its thing: one tank stays crystal clear while the other clouds up with makeup residue, oil and whatever else your cleanser missed.
The gentle suction feels like a mini vacuum for your face – oddly satisfying yet powerful enough to get deep into your pores. And that ‘gunk tank’ moment at the end? Gross, yes, but also seriously rewarding: proof it’s actually doing what it promises.
| Tip Name | Skin Type | Treatment Area | Function |
|---|---|---|---|
| Normal Wide Tip | Most skin types | Cheeks, jawline, and upper forehead | Provides stronger suction and exfoliation for general use. |
| Normal T-Zone Tip | Most skin types | T-zone (nose, chin, and around brow bones) | Offers targeted, stronger suction for precise areas prone to congestion. |
| Gentle Wide Tip | Sensitive skin types | Cheeks, jawline, and upper forehead | Provides milder suction and exfoliation for general use on delicate skin. |
| Gentle T-Zone Tip | Sensitive skin types | T-zone (nose, chin, and around brow bones) | Offers targeted, milder suction for precise areas on sensitive skin. |
Next, it’s all about hydration. I was expecting my face to be as red as a cherry tomato after the exfoliation step, but any redness was surprisingly mild and went down pretty quickly – unlike salon treatments, which can leave you flushed for hours (or even days).
For the next step, I added the Hydro Infuse solution (labelled ‘2’) to my now-empty water tank to kickstart the hydration process. The solution is infused with niacinamide and hyaluronic acid to help lock in moisture and leave skin glowing. The device automatically stops once the solution and water tank are empty.

Finally, it’s all about depuffing and sculpting – and that’s where the Depuffi attachment comes in. Think of it as a supercharged gua sha with six temperature levels. The cool setting is perfect for soothing, depuffing and sculpting, while the warmer setting helps to open pores and boost circulation.
I used the cooling mode straight after my treatment to calm any redness, then switched to heat for a relaxing, lymphatic-style massage. The best part? You can use it on its own, too – I’ve been reaching for it every morning to tackle my puffiness, and it’s quickly become part of my routine. The heat setting also works wonders on the neck and shoulders to ease tension after a long day at my desk – a true multitasker.
One thing that makes this tool even more elite is the fact that the Shark FacialPro Glow cleans itself. Simply swap the wide or T-zone tip you’ve been using for the self-cleaning cap, add some clean water to the tank, switch it on, and let it do its thing.
How long are the routines?
The full facial routine should take no longer than 10 minutes, while the daily depuffing routine should take around 4-8 minutes.
FAQ: How should I be positioned when using the FacialPro?
When it comes to using the Shark FacialPro Glow, positioning is key. For the extraction step, it’s best to sit or stand upright in front of a mirror – trust me, you’ll want to watch the satisfying suction in action. As for the Depuffi, you can use it sitting up or lying down (ideal for a little pre-bedtime ritual), but having a mirror nearby definitely helps you see where you’re sculpting.
FAQ: How often should I use the FacialPro?
The Shark FacialPro Glow fits easily into your existing skincare routine. Use the main extraction treatment once a week – it’s ideal for a deeper cleanse when you have a bit more time – while the Depuffi attachment can be used daily. I'd recommend trying the cooling InstaChill mode in the morning to refresh and de-puff your skin (particularly great if you've slept badly or drank alcohol the evening before), while the warming InstaHeat programme can be used in the evening for a relaxing massage. If you’re using it in the morning, make sure to follow your treatment with application of face SPF.
FAQ: How long does it take to see results?
If your experience is anything like mine, you'll notice results straight away with this device: clearer, smoother, glowier skin after your first session. With regular use, your complexion should only improve over time.
My Shark FacialPro Glow Before & After Pics:
To prove the instant results served by the Shark FacialPro Glow, I took a photo of my skin before my treatment – and immediately after. I was impressed by how much glowier my skin looked, so quickly, and noted that my under-eyes felt brighter, too.
My Shark FacialPro Glow Verdict:
Honestly, this is one of the most impressive skincare tools I’ve ever used. Even after just two sessions, my skin looked noticeably brighter, smoother and more lifted (the DePuffi is officially my new obsession). I love that there’s zero downtime, too – any redness faded within minutes, and my makeup glided on effortlessly afterwards. It genuinely felt like I’d had a professional facial, only this time I didn’t even have to leave the house.
At almost £300, it’s definitely an investment, but considering how much this little device does, I actually expected it to cost more. While nothing quite matches professional salon results (and it doesn’t claim to), this at-home, palm-sized gadget comes impressively close.
