Excellent news! Sarah Jessica Parker is returning to our screens - although sadly it's not for a new series of Sex and the City.
Yep, we know, even though Sarah Jessica Parker recently said "I know there is a story ... whether we tell it remains to be seen. The answer remains unclear at this time." about a new Sex and the City project, her new TV role will be completely different - although she WILL play a journalist.
Brought to you by the team behind hit drama True Detective, the new show will be called Busted, based on the non-fiction book Busted, A Tale of Corruption and Betrayal in the City of Brotherly Love. The award-winning book tells the tale of two reporters who took down a huge police corruption scandal in Philadelphia. Apparently SJP read it on a plan to the Caribbean with her kids and cried at the end, telling the authors "she simply had to be a part of it".
SJP in a True Detective-esque drama with plenty of intrigue? Sounds amazing to us. Although it DOES mean we won't be seeing any of this on our screens:
