After a (what felt like forever) 18 month hiatus, Sam Smith returned with his new song Too Good At Goodbyes. And today, he has dropped a new video for it - all we're saying is grab those tissues.
In true Smith fashion, the comeback song is super soulful and is about a past relationship of his. "But every time you hurt me, the less that I cry/And every time you leave me, the quicker these tears dry," he sings. "And every time you walk out, the less I love you/Baby we don't stand a chance/It's sad, but it's true."
Speaking in an interview with Zane Lowe that coincided with the single release, he did say that although it's a personal record, he's drawn on other reference for the rest of the track list too. "This album actually is not all about me," he said. "There's about four songs that are about me, and the rest are about different things and different people in my life and what they've gone through."

Last week, Smith let his fans know how much he's missed them by releasing a sweet statement on social media. He thanked his fans for being so "patient" and allowing him to have the past year to really "write music so freely".
