Stranger Things star Sadie Sink is set to graduate from the Upside Down to the West End in 2026.

She will star in a Harold Pinter production of Romeo & Juliet, alongside The Night Manager and A Quiet Place star Noah Jupe and directed by Robert Icke.

“I was a Broadway kid, so I’ve always dreamed about doing a show in the West End,” Sadie has said. “To get to do that in one of Shakespeares’s most famous plays under Rob’s direction with Noah will be such an exciting challenge. London theatre has this incredible energy, and I can’t wait to be a part of it.”

A caption describing Icke's take on the iconic Shakespearean has been described as follows: “In Verona, in the height of summer, two young people meet at a party. The rest is tragedy.💔”

We can't wait to see Sadie's return to the stage, and are loving seeing her settling into London life – particularly when she got up on stage to dance with Lorde at The O2 at the weekend to Green Light, a song which held great meaning in Sadie's previous stage performance in Broadway's John Proctor Is The Villain.

Noah has also spoken out about his excitement to play Romeo alongside Sadie.

"It seems like such a challenging and rewarding experience for an actor," he said. "So I was very excited to hear about this project. The combination of Romeo, Rob and Sadie is an opportunity you simply cannot turn down."

Noah's star is also clearly on the up, having recently played Hamlet in Chloé Zhao’s take of Maggie O’Farrell’s 2020 novel Hamnet, out in cinemas very soon.
