Remember that ROTATE x H&M collaboration last year that us Brits couldn't get our hands on? Well, the two brands joined forces for a second time – this time including the UK market, thank God – and if you're gearing up for party season, you're going to want in.

Launching TODAY (as in, it's live right now), the capsule collection consists of 15 pieces that are spot on for any festive events you've got lining your calendar. Think: dramatic puff sleeves, rhinestones, metallic jacquards and zebra prints.

ROTATE was founded back in 2018 by creative directors Jeanette Madsen and Thora Valdimars when the pair reflected on the missing gaps in their own wardrobes and decided to act on creating their dream silhouettes.

It might be smaller than their usual designer collaborations – think back to H&M x Rokh, H&M x Rabanne, H&M x Mugler and so on – but ROTATE x H&M is just as mighty. ROTATE has become a brand synonymous with empowering party pieces that take inspiration from 1980s shapes – something H&M can only complement.

Speaking on it, Jeanette and Thora said they wanted to maintain their retro-centric identity with “a return to the same decade, looking to our muses like Blondie, Michelle Pfeiffer and Princess Diana.”

The colour palette of the line-up combines classic black and oxblood red (very on trend for AW24) with vibrant bursts of pink, bright white and sparkling silver. Even the denim designs have received a ROTATE treatment via metallic coatings in a “rejection of traditions” and encourages “confidence and boldness from the wearer,” they said.

Ann-Sofie Johansson, head of design womenswear and creative advisor at H&M agreed, adding that Jeanette and Thora “have such an eye for joyful, sophisticated design that makes people feel good about themselves.” Exactly what you want this time of year, really.
