What's the crowd? Soho cool, it's the perfect spot for a Friday night date or birthday dinner.

We ate… The Tuna Tartare and Miang Guaytiew (paper rice rolls) to start, on the waiter's recommendation, both of which were delicious. The rice rolls were filled with crabmeat, prawns or spiced duck and set off perfectly with a tangy lime and chilli dipping sauce. The main course was a classic green chicken curry with sweet basil and steamed brown rice…absolutely flawless.

We drank… We kept it Thai with ice cold Chang beers all evening, the only fit accompaniment to a perfect green curry.

Don't forget to ask for… Recommendations. Yes, the pad thai's great, but try one of Patara's specialities for a real treat.
