It's back! To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the famed Pirelli Calendar - which in and of itself is a celebration of scantily clad catwalkers - an A-list crew of models has been selected to fete the milestone.
Miranda Kerr, Alessandra Ambrosio, Alek Wek, Helena Christensen, Karolina Kurkova and Isabeli Fontana were shot by Patrick Demarchelier and Peter Lindbergh to mark the anniversary.
Posing in white business shirts, briefs and heels in one shot, black lingerie in the next and chunky knits on the beach, the girls are wearing decidedly more clothes than usual (we'd bet 2012's babes in the buff didn't even require a stylist). It's like the Gaga effect, where OTT outfits and/or exposed skin ceases to surprise so fabric is back in fashion.
Whatever the reason, we're loving the look of this collaborative effort - especially the black and white shots, which seem to owe a bit of drama to smudgy eyes and flawless skin.
