We have our first images of Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie filming the The Simple Life reboot, and they are everything we could have hoped for and more.
It turns out that the reality series Hilton and Richie have reunited to film is a Simple Life reboot after all, and it’s starting strong from the looks of it. Pictures taken this week show the lifelong besties working the drive-through at a Sonic restaurant in California, while wearing stiletto heels, naturally.
Hilton accessorised her Sonic tee, visor and apron with a denim skirt, a heart-shaped denim purse reading “Paris” in rhinestones, and sequinned silver high-heeled Mary-Janes. Richie wore her hair in her signature slicked-back bun with chunky hoop earrings and pointed-toe slingback heels.
At one glorious point, it looks like Richie was suited up in the Sonic hot dog costume, though she did not change out of her butter yellow pumps to walk the sidewalks hand in hand with Hilton.
Back in June, Hilton told E! News how excited she was to bring back the show with Richie. “I’m so excited to be doing this with Nicole on Peacock. Nicole has been my best friend since we’re two years old, every memory that I have is with her,” she said. “Simple Life is such a special show, and this is just going to be so iconic and I can’t wait for fans to see.”
We first got wind of a Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie Simple Life reunion in May, after the pair’s joint Instagram post showing a collage of their old photos together. “From Day 1: Sill and Bill👭,” they wrote in the caption.
Fans went wild on social media at this news, with one calling it “a pop culture renaissance”, another describing the announcement as “beyond iconic”.
All we can say really is: That’s hot.
